Back at the dormitory in the evening, Lucy fell asleep the moment she fell on the bed. Melanie, however, found it difficult. Whenever she closed her eyes, she would see a certain man. She kept waking up until sleep finally took the best of her and she had no choice but to face her fears.
"I have seen you before, haven't I?", Melanie asked the man in ominous aura.
"You ask a lot of questions, useless ones to be honest.", the man replied.
He was tall, dark toned and familiar. Too familiar for her liking. He was dressed in traditional clothing, colourful traditional clothing. The colors were out of this world for Melanie could not describe it. His head was flawlessly bald and immaculately reflective.
He was a familiar man in a familiar setting. The setting had this feeling to it, like home but Melanie had never been to such a place so what's with this nostalgia.
"Death hovers around you but it doesn't want you. She must gove up her life, that ill-fated girl. She has seen enough.",the strange man started ominously.
"Whatever do you mean?"
"Hush child. You ask a lot questions. When all is said and done, you shall find out for yourself."
At his last words, Melanie woke up to the streams of golden light that spread across her room. It was daytime and Lucy was already gone. A. and B. probably slept at their stations. Once again, Melanie overslept but this time she wasn't locked in. There was no one alive or allied that cared.
She washed her face, cleaned and dressed up to meet the others. She hadn't forgotten her dream. In fact, she thought about every second of that morning. It made her skin crawl underneath and her face tingle.
She began making her way to where they had confined Darko. She was only halfway there when Afia A's voice called her from behind. She turned to see her rude friend panting like crazy. Her words couldn't even form and fall out properly. She held on to her knees like she'd been running the whole morning. A. tried to speak again but all Melanie could make out were her deep, sharp, successive gasps. She was literally literally fighting for air at the moment.
