Now this was a killing spree in which Darko ended up surviving. Of course he would. He is a martial arts expert. Before all three traitors were dead, Darko held the leader by the throat and demanded that he tell him everything.
The dying man revealed that they were meant to make the Raineans think that the Gajans were starting a war so that they would have a legitimate reason to spark an actual war.
"Now, tell me. Who is behind all of this?"
The man laughed maniacally as if he wasn't about to die
"Even I, don't know his name but I do know that he will get you for foiling a part of his plans not that it spoils anything anyway."
This was bad. It was really really bad. Does this mean the uprising against Gaja was internal? What could the person behind hope to achieve from this? The Commander or the Lieutenant. Who is pulling whose and the army's strings.
"I'll just have to keep this to myself then but someone has to dispose off the other units", Darko thought to himself and immediately remembered the other units on standby for the same plan. The plan to create commotion in Raine until the non-existent war had been created.
Darko took it upon himself to annihilate the nine units that would become a threat to a future of peace. Nothing would stop him and if death came his way, then death would come for them all.
Fortunately, he knew where some of the units were stationed and he had to do was give them a surprise visit without giving them time to communicate or else phase two would be initiated far too early and then he would be overwhelmed.
When that was completed, he would lure the standby units with traps that he will set for them and 'voila', an all out war would be avoided. It wasn't a complete foolproof plan but at least he had one and was willing to take initiative.
