"Captain, whatever you say, I have no objections. Since you have a plan, we'll cooperate fully."
Daddy Masterson understood what Buggy meant. He had made up his mind to deal with the human trafficking organization and already had a plan. And he was very confident.
"Cousin, I killed them all."
"Captain, I will listen to you. Whatever you say, we'll do it."
"Captain, we'll follow your orders."
Except for Hogback, everyone else expressed their opinions. They all knew that Buggy had made up his mind to deal with those people. They didn't have any other thoughts.
Of course, Weevil didn't have any other thoughts. He simply listened to what Buggy said. Whatever Buggy said, he fully supported. Nothing else was within his consideration. His limited intelligence didn't allow for it.
Next, Buggy explained his plan. First, he wanted the people of the capital of Illysia to know the general situation, including the situation of the human trafficking organization, and that some high-ranking officials in the kingdom were involved.
This would incite their anger and cause chaos throughout the kingdom. The kingdom's higher-ups wouldn't stand idly by. They would definitely send soldiers to manage the situation. This would inevitably loosen the city's defenses.
Buggy and his crew could take this opportunity to sneak into the city without anyone noticing. And they could take advantage of the chaos to investigate the mastermind behind the human trafficking organization, based on the information they had now.
They could also use this to scare them, causing those high-ranking officials involved in the human trafficking organization to panic. Perhaps they would reveal their tracks.
After discussing the plan with everyone, they all thought it was feasible. They refined it, divided the tasks, and everyone started working on their own.
First, they had to publicize these crimes. They decided to print leaflets with the information and distribute them throughout the city.
This was easy to do. They had a printing press and white paper on board the ship. They had everything they needed. Within ten minutes, they had printed tens of thousands of leaflets.
They didn't rush to distribute them. Now was not the time. They decided to sneak into the city at dawn, when the guards were relaxed, and distribute the leaflets on the main streets of the city. This would ensure that the people of the capital could see the leaflets without exposing themselves.
Meanwhile, in the city guard's headquarters, a soldier rushed into the city guard leader's tent.
After saluting, the soldier said, with the leader's permission, "General, Leader Bro returned, seriously injured."
"Where is he now? Did he say anything?"
"General, Leader Bro is too badly injured. He's in the infirmary now. He also told us about the situation he experienced and asked us to relay it to the general.
Leader Bro said that the other party was very strong when he was trying to arrest them. He was completely outmatched. He was beaten up and seriously injured. Desperately, he escaped the battlefield using his ability to fly. After avoiding the other party's pursuit, he was able to return."
"Oh, he's that badly injured? Go and tell him to rest well. Don't worry about anything else. I'll handle the rest."
The soldier heard the general's words, saluted respectfully, and turned to leave.
The general sat there, his face becoming serious. He was also struggling. After a while, he seemed to have made up his mind. He changed his clothes and left the headquarters.
"What? Bro is back? Did he say anything?"
In the manor, an old man in fine clothes and a stern face listened to Jesse's words. He was filled with many questions.
"Sir, Bro said that he was completely outmatched by the other party and escaped using his ability to fly."
"He didn't say anything else?"
"No, sir."
"Tell me what you think."
A hint of struggle appeared on Jesse's face. But under the old man's gaze, he still honestly said his guess.
"Sir, I think what Bro said is untrustworthy. After inspecting the scene of the incident, I'm sure that Bro was captured by the other party. There's no way he escaped."
After saying this, Jesse felt relieved. He admired Bro very much. He had even considered making him his successor. He also knew the consequences of saying this, but he had to say it in front of the old man.
The old man pondered for a while. A hint of ruthlessness flashed across his face. He said, "Capture him and torture him. See if he revealed any important information."
The old man had already made a judgment. Bro had probably been captured by Buggy and his crew. He might have revealed some information he knew.
Even if Bro was telling the truth, it didn't matter to the old man. He had a "better safe than sorry" attitude. He also gave a solution for dealing with Bro.
"Understood, sir." After saying this, Jesse saluted and left the manor.
He would never disobey the old man's orders, no matter how innocent Bro was. He would follow the old man's orders and arrest him, torturing him in prison.
He rushed back to the camp and issued an order. He called for his trusted subordinate and told him to take his soldiers and arrest Bro.
The subordinate was very confused after hearing Jesse's words. He didn't understand what was going on. But seeing that Jesse didn't explain, he could only take his soldiers to the infirmary where Bro was.
The subordinate and his soldiers quickly arrived at the infirmary. They went straight to Bro's ward. When they entered, there was no one there. Bro had already left.
After asking around, he learned from a nurse that Bro had left quietly after receiving treatment, when no one was paying attention to him.
The subordinate pondered for a while and immediately ordered his subordinates to disperse and search for Bro.
He also returned to Jesse's headquarters immediately to report the situation.
"What? He ran away? You bunch of good-for-nothings! Search carefully. Order all the city guards, including those who are patrolling, to keep a close eye out and search for Bro."
"Understood, General. I'll go now." After saluting and taking his leave, the subordinate rushed off with Jesse's orders.
"Damn it! That little bastard Bro must have known something. Why didn't he die there? This is such a nuisance."
Jesse's face was contorted with rage. His eyes flashed with ferocity. He was radiating killing intent. He knew Bro must have known something.
And he probably suspected something. Otherwise, he wouldn't have run away immediately. And he was sure Bro had leaked some information to those people, possibly implicating him. This undoubtedly made him murderous.
