Maria's heart was still pounding after her encounter with a ghost in literature class. She quickly gathered her things and rushed out of the classroom, narrowly missing Richard. "What, are you okay?" - asked Rikardi, holding Maria's arm. "I'm okay... I think I saw a ghost," Maria replied, feeling a little stupid. "I know that sounds crazy."
But to his surprise, Richard's expression turned serious. "No, it's not crazy. I believe you."
Maria felt a shiver run down her spine as Richard's gaze fell on hers. It was an intense and unsettling look that made him retreat. "Is that how you look at girls?" Maria asked, trying to sound casual despite her growing concern. Richard's face turned red and he turned away, muttering an apology. "I'm sorry... you're just different from the other girls." »
Maria raised an eyebrow, unsure of how to respond. Before she could say anything, Richard asked, "Do you know where the science lab is?" »
Maria nodded. "Actually, that's where I'm going now." »
Then the bell rang and Maria groaned. "Damn it, I'm late to class again!"
Maria rushed into the science lab, eager to sit next to her best friend, Jessica. As she slid into her seat, Jessica whispered, "You're late." »
Maria closed it, but her science teacher, Mrs. Florence, had already noticed. «Looks like you're going to pay me a dollar for every time you're late, Maria. »
Maria smiled wickedly. «Make that five, and it won't happen again. »
Miss Florence raised an eyebrow but said nothing. Instead, she introduced her visitors, Mrs. Annie Smith and her daughter, Leonore. Leonore was a beautiful girl with long black curly hair and instantly all the boys in the class tried to get her attention. Leonore greeted the class with a charming smile. "Hello everyone. I hope my dress suits you."
Lady Florence assured her, "You are excellent, Léonore."
Miss Florence addressed the students. "Miss Annie has kindly given us the materials we need for our practice. But first, she has an announcement to make."
Miss Annie stepped forward. "I invite you all to my house on Saturday if you are interested in art."
Miss Florence began to explain today's lesson on blood cells. "Now, everyone, pay attention to the blood samples in front of you. We're going to work on identifying different types of blood cells."
Jessica reached out to touch one of the sharp objects on her desk. "Oh, that's sharp!" "Careful, Maria."
But before Jessica could finish, Maria accidentally cut herself.
Blood began to flow from Maria's wound and Jessica cried out, "Maria, are you okay?" But Maria's eyes rolled back and she fell to the ground. "Maria, stay with us!" one of the students shouted, her voice panicked. As Maria's vision began to clear, she saw the ghostly figure again, its eyes fixed on her. She tried to scream, but her voice caught in her throat. Everything went black and Maria lost consciousness. The classroom erupted into chaos, with students screaming for help and Jessica screaming Maria's name.
