Chapter 95 - The War For The Universal Rift part 2

From the shadows of chaos, it emerged—a creature so massive, so unfathomable, that its presence brought silence to the battlefield. Even the gods, once so proud and mighty, froze in terror. The Unknown was a monstrous force, a towering beast with blackened scales that shimmered like oil and countless glowing red eyes scattered across its body. Its very aura felt like despair, radiating death and destruction.

"W-what is that?!" an angel stammered, gripping their weapon tighter, though it was clear they didn't believe it would help.

Kikidori narrowed his eyes, his usual nonchalant demeanor gone. "That," he said, his voice grim, "is nothing we can handle."

The Unknown's roar shook the ground, sending shockwaves that flattened nearby armies and obliterated entire sections of Universal Land. The battlefield had become a nightmare, and the Rift was its target.

---

As the beast lumbered forward, the unthinkable happened: the warring factions put aside their differences. Enemies became allies in an instant. Heaven, Hell, mis-angels, demons, gods, mortals—everyone united to stop the Unknown.

Yumi stood at the frontlines, her scythe trembling in her hands. She was still reeling from Elnora's death, her heart heavy with grief. Stryker's death, too, weighed on her in ways she hadn't expected. But now wasn't the time to mourn. Now was the time to fight.

She charged at the Unknown, her battle cry ringing out as she swung her scythe at its leg. The blade struck true, cutting into the beast's dark flesh, but it didn't even flinch. Instead, one of its massive claws swiped at her, sending her flying backward like a ragdoll.

Yumi hit the ground hard, coughing up blood. Ere'ana screamed, running to her daughter's side. "Yumi!"

"I'm fine," Yumi said, though her voice was shaky. She stood, clutching her side. "We have to stop it."

Lucifer stepped forward, his wings spread wide as he summoned a massive pillar of hellfire. The flames engulfed the Unknown, but when the smoke cleared, it stood unharmed.

"Impossible," Lucifer muttered.

God himself descended next, his presence radiant and awe-inspiring. He raised a hand, summoning a torrent of divine energy that lit up the battlefield like a second sun. The Unknown staggered but quickly regained its balance, letting out a roar that shattered mountains in the distance.

"This isn't working!" Ere'ana shouted.

---

As the battle raged, Yumi's eyes locked onto the beast's chest. There, glowing faintly amidst the chaos, was a pentagram symbol. Her breath caught in her throat.

"I've seen that before…" she whispered, her mind racing.

Without another word, she turned and ran toward a portal that led back to Hell. Kikidori saw her leave and shouted after her, but she didn't stop.

---

Yumi burst into the castle in Hell, running straight to her room. She threw open her sketchbook, flipping through its pages until she found it—a drawing she had made months ago of the exact same pentagram now glowing on the Unknown's chest. Her hands trembled as she stared at it.

"I know how to destroy it," she whispered, her grief momentarily replaced by determination.

She sprinted back through the portal, sketchbook in hand.

---

When Yumi returned to the battlefield, she shouted for everyone's attention. "I know how to stop it!"

All eyes turned to her, disbelief written on their faces.

"You?!" a mis-angel scoffed.

"Shut up and listen!" she snapped. "We need to create this pentagram—on the ground, huge, right now!" She held up her sketchbook, showing the intricate design.

Kikidori was the first to respond. "Do what she says!"

With her father's support, the armies got to work, carving the massive pentagram into the ground. Yumi, for the first time, let both her angelic and demonic powers flow freely. Her wings unfurled, one side glowing white, the other dark as night. Energy poured from her hands as she etched the pentagram into the battlefield with precision and power.

When it was complete, the glowing symbol stretched across miles of scorched earth. Yumi's body trembled from the effort, but she stood tall.

"Now," she said, her voice hoarse but commanding, "we need to lead it onto the pentagram."

The armies charged at the Unknown, attacking it from all sides, forcing it to step closer and closer to the trap.

Finally, the beast's massive foot touched the edge of the pentagram. Yumi's eyes widened.

"Just a little more…" she muttered, her heart pounding.

The Unknown stepped fully onto the pentagram, its weight shaking the ground.

And then—
