Chapter 1 - Beginning and Goodbye

A tall man , decorated with tattoos and ashen hair trudged through the mud. His face covered by the dark shadow of his black hood. He wore all black but his jumper was imprinted with a large intracite pattern. It spread down his arm and to the center of the jumper and was a deep shade of blue.

He was drawing closer to the gate of an old school. His onyx eyes lifted to the gate. It was massive spreading 6 meters across and 3 metters in height. The gate was rusted but small hints of silver could be seen. A black bat took center stage. It was as if it was prestine and new, perhaps cleaned everydray.

He placed his hand on the bat , his movements were careful and enclosed. He gently pushed the bat as it clicked into place the whole structure slowly moved revealing a long road. The road slowly became more visible as the gate creeked more and more open. He moved forward taking fast steps quickening his pace. Every so often he glanced down only to be met with colonies of black ants destroying the already cracked concrete.

As the school drew nearer small smears of blood started to appear only growing bigger into dried puddles of dirtied blood. The path soon becamed stained and recked of rot.

The man contuined forward unbothered by the smell, determined to reach his destination. Eventually he reached the door of the old school, which was like a miniature castle, when a girl appeared from the shadows to face the man.

The girl was of average height with raven black hair. Her hair was soft and smooth and curled perfectly gently bouncing above her shoulders. Her face was heavenly with red plump lips and deep ruby eyes which contrasted her pale skin. She wore a black skin tight top with black shorts lined with blood red stitching. Her porcelain skin was cover in black lace. Her whole person was put together by the gods, both alluring and beautiful.

Her raspy voice spoke in a quiet hushed tone which only the two of them could hear.

"So your really doing it?"

The man stayed silent, reluctant to speak and unable to move. He stayed like that for a while thinking and waiting before nodding slowly.

"So this is goodbye?"

Once again he remained silent. Not daring to look her in the eyes. He kept his head down before nodding once again.

The girl let out a long sigh before speaking in the one sided conversation again.

" You spare me no words and can't even look me in the eye? It's a shame."

He felt the the pain in her voice but still he did not speak. The silence between them was loud enough to become deafening. Words spoke loud but there action spoke louder.

After a while he slowly looked up meeting her ruby eyes that were shaking ever so slightly. They held eye contact for a while only disturbing it when they blinked. He tried to speak opening and closing his mouth. His voice was like a river but his mouth was a damm holding back, ready to spill. But the damn was strong and didn't break because the water was poisonous. Who would want water if it hurt to drink? Yet the woman before him did.

Still he didn't utter a word.

Her hand reached out to his, holding his firmly in place. Her hand was soft and had a cool sensation. Despite her cold hand he would hold them over and over. Even when they held hands in the past he felt the same rush of blood.

Still he didn't speak. But this time neither did she.

Her other hand reached out to his head , pulling down his hood. His hair fell down to his chin and could be tied in a small pony tail. With his hood pulled down, she could finally see a large thin scar across the top of his head. She gently caressed his scar soothing the pain even if it had happened a long time ago.

The man recieved a pained look from the women. Her eyes still shaking.

Her voice whispered in the air.

"promise you'll remember me?"

Hearing her words his body trembled. She knew what those words ment to him and yet she still uttered them. If anyone could do that it was only one person and luckily for her she was that person.

In a small voice full of uncertainty he finally managed to speak a word.

" okay."

Hearing his voice was satisfying for her. But a goodbye that could last forever? It was not nearly enough. How could she leave knowing that the last thing he was said was a mere okay.

She slowly looked towards the ground. She did not want it to be they're goodbye. She didn't want to leave.

The mans gazed followed hers. While they looked at the ground they're thoughts were in sync. They had a mutal agreement yet he had to leave.

They stayed there for a while , hand in hand staring at the ground.

Small drops of rain started to drop from the sky, dancing on the ground around them. The sound of pattering broke the silence the whole world wished upon there goodbye. The heavens itself told them no yet they still stood their. Together.

The man slowly pulled his hand away , drawing her attention. She met his gaze, his midnight eyes told a story and she listened before slowly touching his face. She gently pulled him down to her. She stared at him for a little longer before submitting to desire.

There lips met at the black of night while heavy rain poured down on them.

His soft lips met hers they're passion and heat all guided into one final goodbye. He held onto her for a long time deepening they're sorrow filled kiss. She too held onto him tying him down.

But finally it came and once they finally parted he felt lonely. But even so he took a step forward. Then mutiple more.

Not looking back, knowing that if he did he would not be able to continue and so he slowly moved a way muttering under his breath.

" Im sorry Tilly"

Over and over praying that maybe the gods would forgive him but more so than that , that she would forgive him.

A small drop fell down , falling and falling, it soon crashed into a puddle. A small drop would not change the size of a puddle or a lake but a lot would. The rain died down as he walked away. Leaving a lonesome figure behind.

The girl contuined to stand in her place, her feet firmly stuck to the floor watching him move further away , growing smaller and smaller. Soon he would be nonexistent. A figment of her imagination.

The horrible feeling clung to her stomach. Clung to every fibre of her body. The pain built up like a jabbing pain which slowly turned into knives. Knives that stabbed at her heart. Tears fells from her eyes the facet had been turned and there was no going back.

The rain had stopped. Yet the small sound of drops falling echoed in her silence. Her lonesome figure began to collapse the wet mut dirting her clean clothes and ruining her beautifuly curled hair. The mut stuck to her body tears pouring out. Her heart ached.

Her small quiet cries grew louder turning into violent screams. That was all that could be heard. She screamed loud yet nobody heard. Truly her voice was quiet even when it screamed so loud.

After a while she grew quiet again nothing more was left. The emptyness was all there was.

Only 2 words echoed in the air.

"goodbye Zylan"
