Ambrose walked beside Natalia, his hands shoved into his pockets as they strolled along the quiet path. The morning air was crisp, the sun barely rising over the city skyline. Neither of them spoke much there was too much unspoken tension between them.
"You seem... calmer than before," Ambrose finally said, glancing at her.
Natalia let out a humorless chuckle. "I've accepted things as they are, Ambrose. Some battles aren't worth fighting anymore."
