"I don't mean to be tactless, but someone's about to barge in soon."
Turning around, they saw the familiar silhouette of a man leaning diagonally against the door.
It was Ryan. His light brown eyes, neither smiling nor not, quietly observed the two.
In his hand, he carelessly held a coffee tray, perhaps intending to give it to Winter.
Ryan chuckled and said to Winter.
"I told you not to work overtime on your first day."
"It's not what you think..."
Winter, suddenly coming to her senses, hurriedly waved her hands and pushed Hugo away urgently. Her face flushed with embarrassment.
Hugo willingly stepped back as Winter pushed him. His face had already returned to its expressionless state.
Winter quickly moved to stand as far away from Hugo as possible. As she leaned against a pillar as if hiding, her wildly beating heart finally began to calm down little by little.
"Well, you're all adults here," Ryan continued in a voice that suggested it was no big deal.
