In less than 30 minutes, Ellie emerged with just one small suitcase. Simon looked at her disapprovingly.
It was clear that none of the clothes and bags Simon had bought her from the department store were in that tiny suitcase.
Despite his irritation, Simon decided not to show it given the late hour. He kindly loaded the luggage into the trunk and opened the passenger door for her.
"Ellie."
Seated in the driver's seat, he called her name in an uncharacteristically casual manner. When Ellie didn't respond, he called her name again.
"Ellie."
"...Yes."
"Is there anywhere you'd like to go?"
"What? Didn't you say we needed to go down to the Ulsan, an industrial city in South Korea, known for its shipbuilding and heavy industries factory?"
"Plans have changed."
"..."
Ellie let out a soft sigh. She didn't have the energy to question why. He had always been willful.
"There's nowhere I want to go."
"Really?"
Despite her curt response, Ellie suddenly became lost in thought.
