His attention focused on Reid since the start of the Hunt. Due to special tech, they could see and hear each participant through the trees with their names hovering above their head.
They were really enjoying Reid's cockiness since it was a breath of fresh air from every participant's usual aggressive approach.
It's not that there hasn't been participants with cocky persona but most didn't have the strength to back it up.
Reid on the other hand was making the Hunt really entertaining. He was the only Hunter they had seen so far that fought the primals with just a bat.
They regretted not betting on him since this was his first Hunt.
