"Sit down" Maximus' order came as he looked at the standing Nathan.
"But Father—" Nathan started, only to snap his lips shut when he saw the look in his father's eyes.
"I'm sorry", he apologized and sat back down.
Maximus then turned back to the standing Reid and gestured with his hand towards one of the chairs "please, take a seat."
The politeness was weird and unexpected but Reid just ignored it and took a seat directly opposite Nathan on the left side of the table.
The chairs on that side of the table were reserved for nonmembers of the Fletcher family so Reid was right to seat there since he was not a part of the family.
"Tell the cooks to serve us breakfast now" Maximus spoke to seemingly no one since Ellie had already left to attend to Vivian and he wouldn't give that order to any of the people seated on the table with him.
"Right away Master"
