Chapter 1 - Prologue chapter : The Soldier

Deep space, silent as an ancient forgotten abyss. In a place without light, there are lives beyond time, and these lives are no longer bound by life and death. Their names are like countless silent stars, unknown to everyone, but forever engraved in the depths of the universe.

In this eternal darkness, on an unknown planet, a soldier named "Legenar" stands on the ruins. The wreckage of the war is scattered, covering up the former glory and pain. The battlefield at this time is like a silent baptism, and the broken sky and the broken earth are witnessing the end of a period of history.

Legenar, he is not a product of this world, but a "forgotten remnant". The armor on his body flashes with cold silver light. It is an ancient technology, a technology beyond the times, and its composition and power cannot be explained in any modern language. His eyes are covered with extreme calmness and alertness, as if he can see through the death lurking in every inch of space.

He has never chosen this path - war, slaughter, or even existence itself. Legnar was not born to fight. He once had his own life and thoughts, but they had long been wiped out in countless battles. At this moment, he was a combination of machine and flesh, a living weapon, and a monster born to die.

"You have completed the task." A ruthless mechanical voice came from Legnar's helmet. The voice had no temperature, no emotion, like an order from a distant place.

Legnar did not respond. His eyes stared into the distance, where the ruins were like an endless desert, and even the sound of the wind had disappeared. He raised his hand and touched the surface of the armor on his chest. His fingertips scratched a slight crack, which was a trace left over from many life and death intervals.

"Do you know the meaning of this war?" The voice sounded again, with a silent indifference.

Legnar shook his head slightly, his voice cold and low: "Meaning... what meaning?"

He had never asked himself this question. He had never doubted this endless war, and he didn't even have much perception. He knew his duty. No matter whether the enemy in front of him was a monster or a human, he would kill without hesitation until the last moment of his life.

"You will continue to fight," the voice seemed to be a pre-determined declaration, "even if you have lost everything."

Legenar was silent, slowly lowered his head, and his eyes wandered in the ruins in front of him. That was the place he had wantonly destroyed. He could vaguely see the torn flags and countless fallen enemy bodies. Once upon a time, these faces and lives were the meaning of existence. But today, they are all abandoned in the endless darkness.

He took a long breath and swallowed the cold air approaching his throat. His body was as stiff as steel, without any discomfort. His former emotions had been consumed by countless bloody battles and tortures, and what was left was just a killing machine, advancing step by step according to instructions until the end of his fate.

However, he could not deny a certain voice deep in his heart - that voice was deep and slow, as if it was shouting, and it seemed to be whispering, it reminded him that in these dead moments, there was something more important than life itself, that is "loyalty".

And he could never deny this answer.

He slowly turned around and faced the horizon swallowed by darkness in the distance. Those were the footprints left by the enemy, and that was the beginning of another endless battle.

"Legenar, you belong to the war," the voice was in an unquestionable tone, "you will fight for the glory of the empire until the last moment."

He still did not respond, but closed his eyes, as if immersed in some endless memories. He remembered countless battles, every painful experience, and every moment of struggling back from the brink of death, but these memories have now disappeared like meteors.

He opened his eyes, a cold light flashed in his deep eyes, and then he drew out the heavy energy sword, and the sword body vibrated slightly, as if responding to some call from deep in his heart.

He took a deep breath, and the dusty road behind him was gradually swallowed by the endless darkness, and his footsteps gradually disappeared in the ruins.
