David got two bouquets of flowers in the evening. Henry was coming for dinner and David was nervous.
David took one bouquet of carnations to Asia who was busy on the phone to Allan. He had been calling and Asia missed him. They would meet and work on their relationship. David hated Allan for making Asia cry.
She smiled, thanked him and went straight back to talking. They were talking of being together. Allan wanted her back at his place but she wasn't eager. She wouldn't just go back. Something had changed. Allan had changed or he never would have allowed her to leave his house upset. She just didn't know yet. He just didn't know yet.
"I don't like Allan," David told Asia once she hang up .
"Good thing only one of us has to like him for my relationship to work." Asia giggled.
"I thought you two had broken up," David sat next to Asia and leant to look her in the eye.
"And throw away two years of being together? I don't think so." Asia said.
"You deserve an orgasm, Asia." David said, wrapped his arm round her.
"I know. You can be my teacher. Guide me on the path to orgasm." Asia said, nudged him.
"Let's go in, Henry will be here in minites," David helped Asia up.
While Asia, using crutches, went into the lounge, David there was nervous. He had never been like that. He usually just met Henry either in partying places or less than ten minutes at a time. Now Asia had boxed him.
Yet he had known Henry for many years, together for three. Maybe this was what they needed, a push in the right direction. So why was he nervous?
David helped Asia to a seat. She was radiant and in a black, thin strapped dinner dress. Her hair was tied on a high pony accentuating her high cheekbones. She didn't seem to have made the effort yet she looked glamorous.
David was in a tuxedo. He complimented Asia and she giggled. She thanked him. Then she psyched him up. She complimented him till he felt better.
"Good evening, you have a lovely home," Henry greeted as he walked in, bottle of expensive wine in hand.
"Good evening handsome. It's a pleasure to meet you here," Asia smiled pleasantly as they shook hands.
"Feel at home, Henry. It's been a long time coming," David embraced him briefly and they all left for the dinner table.
Henry wasn't chatty. But he made effort to be warm. He asked Asia how she was feeling and she was honest. She hoped she would walk soon.
Asia asked what Henry did for a living. He seemed shocked as he looked at David. Clearly, David and Asia didn't gossip, not about Henry.
"A little into imports and exports. I enjoy fostering ties between our nation and others," Henry said as Asia paid attention.
David didn't stop being nervous. For a moment, Asia regretted inviting him over. David was so nervous tgat Asia couldn't tease him.
"Do you two have future plans?" Asia asked.
"You hate me," David whispered and Asia laughed.
"I hope for a child or two in future," Henry said, smiled warmly.
"That is cool, Henry. I hope for three." Asia said.
"With Allan?" David asked.
"Of course. We even have names ready. One will be David," Henry laughed.
"I understand why she is your friend," Hery told David.
Henry liked Asia. He saw no malice in her so he opened up more. Henry owned a shipping company. He had met David in a cocktail party then they had business together but hadn't dated till much later
David spoke of trying to convince Asia to be his assistant and Henry asked if he was sure. Asia laughed and ask David the same thing .
Asia was strong willed. David liked the challenge but Asia was still noncommittal. It wouldn't be so bad working with David and having lunch together. She smiled and shook her head.
"I have had a wonderful time," Henry said before leaving.
"Me too. I understand what David sees in you, Henry. Thank you for visiting." She bid him bye.
David took Henry all the way out. As they walked, Henry said Asia had quite a unique personality. David chuckled. Henry liked that David had such a friend. She seemed loyal to the bone.
"When can I see you?" Henry asked David.
"As soon as Asia can drive. I will let you know," David said evasively.
"Thank you for having me over. It means the world to me." Henry said, left.
David cursed as he walked to his room. Asia had landed him in a fix. Henry thought David was taking things to the next level yet the opposite was happening. David was bored and wanted to drop Henry. She would help him fix that.
The moment Asia got in bed, that doctor came. Asia, lying in bed, looked up at him. She had drank a little more than she ought to but it was a Sunday and she could take a break.
Asia pulled her night dress up to her waist so that Gabriel could check the wound. He pretended not to see the white nickers she wore. It had laces she had tied on. That way, she could take them off without bruising the wound. It was healthy and drying up nicely.
While he dressed it, David came to the door. He was there to tell off Asia for inviting Henry over but changed his mind on seeing Gabriel. So he reminded her to be up on time as she would be going back to work after weeks of being away.
"Can I take you to dinner sometime, Asia?" the doctor asked, throwing the bandage into a bin.
"Sorry Gabriel, I am seeing someone," Asia felt flattered.
"Lunch then? You owe me. Just lunch," he pushed.
"Okay. On Friday before I fly out," She compromised.
"Thank you. Goodnight to you," Gabriel smiled and left.
