Bang!Bang!Kelly heard a knock on her door.She rushed to open it with a cute smile while she ushered the two people in.The male detective was her childhood friend,Manroe Leonard's and she guessed that the female who was with him was his secretary."Good morning,Ms.Burkhart,I am detective Leonards."Manroe said."Oh I see,good morning, please come in and have a seat.No formalities Manroe."Kelly said in a jovial tone but seeing her friend's serious look she became less jovial.She offered them water but was politely declined. "Um,miss Kelly,I would like to ask you some questions concerning your dad.""Okay,go on"said Kelly."When was the last time you spoke to your dad?"asked Manroe."Actually I spoke to him the day before he died"replied Kelly."Do you know anybody he was at loggerheads with who might want to cause him harm?""Well, I don't think so but he mentioned of misunderstanding between him and someone.""Did he mention any name?""No,not at all."He looked at her and asked some more questions before saying, "Ok,thanks for your cooperation.We'd meet some other time.""Bye,see you later."He left with his secretary following close behind.
After Manroe left,Kelly went straight into the kitchen to prepare lunch.Minutes later,her best friend, Samantha came to her place.Samantha Griffiths is also a university graduate who works at a renowned company in the country,T&M group of companies."Hey girl,you look stunning as always"Kelly said as she made way for Samantha."Yeah girl,thanks for the compliment"said Samantha."Since you're here early then I guess we should move straight to the dining room to eat what I prepared"said Kelly."Yum,yummies,I can smell good food everywhere in the room"Samantha complimented.They both sat down to eat and enjoy themselves to their fullest.Then Samantha asked about Kelly's father's murder case."How's the case going?Any clue?""No"Kelly said holding back her tears.Samantha consoled her friend, assuring her that the murderer would be caught and jailed."I know Sam, it's just that it's been long..."Kelly looked at her friend who hugged her to make sure everything was alright."Well, I guess I would be leaving now.It's time for me to go.I have a business meeting tonight with one of our clients."Samantha said as she stood up to find her way to the door."Yeah,see you some other time"said Kelly while she hugged her friend again and let go.
Kelly went to her living room to watch a television show.The show lasted for a long time and in no time she dozed off in the couch.She heard her phone buzz which made her wake up.A message had been sent to her email and upon realizing that it was the approval of her application to work as a designer at T&M's,she smiled.She couldn't believe she was going to work at the biggest company in the country.After some hours of excitement,she quickly took her phone to break the good news to Samantha since she thought her meeting would have ended by this time.Samantha's phone was off which made her think the meeting was still on-going."But what kind of business meeting will last this long.Ha,maybe she's asleep.Anyway,I hope she's okay wherever she is."She went to bed.
Buzz!Buzz!Buzz!"Argh!This stupid noisy alarm always getting on my nerves."Kelly blurted out as if the alarm was the cause of her problem.She quickly got up from the bed and walked lazily to the bathroom to take a shower and brush her teeth.Afterwards she looked into her wardrobe to look for a dress which was more dowdy.Her eyes caught one of her most favorite attire.She quickly hopped into the dress and wore her high heel and headed straight into the kitchen for breakfast.She quickly picked her bag and headed straight to get a taxi passing by."Please take me to T&M group of companies"said Kelly."Yes ma'am.""How long will it take me to reach my destination"she asked."Not less than 25 minutes."The driver answered.
Kelly reached the company very late because of a traffic she never expected.She hurried to the top most floor.When she arrived at that floor,she hurried to Samantha's office since she had been there before.She heard an angry shout and the sound of glass breaking.Her heart jumped into her throat thinking that shout was because of her coming late.
