"Your previous world, the one you came from, is situated in the Lower Realm. It ranks extremely low in the hierarchy of worlds within the Lower Realm. It is practically mana-less, severely lacking in ambient magical energy." She paused, a hint of disdain in her voice.
"There are a few worlds in the Lower Realm, such as Murim, that possess a decent amount of mana. However, they could never ascend to the Higher Realm. So let's not waste time discussing them."
Damon listened intently, his understanding of the cosmology of the realms expanding with Lilith's explanations. The stark contrast she drew between the Higher and Lower Realms, and her dismissive tone towards his former world, only served to further impress upon him the vast gulf in power and status between these different planes of existence.
The fact that Earth lacked mana was not entirely shocking to him. However, learning that there was a world called Murim, just like in Korean novels, came as a surprise. He didn't dwell too much on this revelation, as he was no longer in the Lower Realm and dared to believe he wouldn't be returning there.
Instead, Damon's thoughts turned to the future. Another stage awaited him, a new chapter in his journey. The knowledge that he had transcended the Lower Realm, that he now stood on the threshold of the Higher Realm, filled him with a sense of anticipation and determination.
"In the middle realm, second only to the higher realm, there exist many worlds divided into low-tier, mid-tier, and high-tier categories. The higher the tier, the more abundant the mana. A world from the low-tier can advance to a higher tier. You will be sent to one of those worlds, on the verge of ascending to the higher tier within the middle realm."
Although a little disappointed at not being able to start from the Higher Realm, Damon understood that he must begin his conquest from the bottom up. While the prospect was exciting, he became curious about the new world where he would be sent. However, Damon managed to temper his excitement in order to first gain more information and a deeper understanding of himself before proceeding.
''The world you will be sent to is named Adveka, a world governed by a system. It is a system-driven world,'' as Lilith described it.
Lilith's words caused Damon's eyes to widen slightly, as excitement slowly built within him. While modern novels are filled with various system-based narratives, actually reading about and experiencing such a world are two very different things. Damon couldn't wait to hear more about this world, as it seemed quite special, otherwise he assumed Lilith wouldn't have chosen it as his destination.
Lilith chuckled upon seeing the desire in his son's eyes, his golden eyes were shining just like a child.
'Wow! So you can make face like this as well. Fufu! How amusing.'
She continued.
In the world of Adveka, systems exist in various types and are classified into three distinct ranks: Low, Medium, and High.
The rank of your system will determine how far you can progress within the power system hierarchy. This power system is divided into seven realms:
Low
Middle
High
Master
Grandmaster
Transcendent
God
For example, an individual with a Low-rank system would only be able to reach the High realm, while someone with a Medium-rank system could ascend as far as the Grandmaster realm. In contrast, a person with a High-class system would be capable of reaching the Transcendent realm.
"What about the God realm then?" Damon inquired, his curiosity piqued.
"Nobody can reach that level in the Middle Realm," Lilith responded, a hint of amusement in her tone.
"The seven ranks I mentioned before - Low, Middle, High, Master, Grandmaster, Transcendent, and God - can be applied to the Higher Realm as well."
She paused, studying Damon's expression.
"The God realm is the ultimate rank. Do you truly believe it is so easily achievable?"
Having understood, Damon could only shake his head. He suspected the woman before him must be operating at this exalted God realm, and his ultimate goal would be to one day achieve that same level of power and divinity.
''Even the number of Transcendents in the Middle Realm is limited.'' Lilith added before saying next after looking at Damon's determined eyes.
"Good, your goal should be to reach Godhood before you entertain any thoughts about me," Lilith stated firmly.
Damon nodded, understanding her message. Even without her guidance, he had already intended to strive for that ultimate realm of power. Lilith's words only solidified his determination.
"I will not rest until I've attained Godhood," Damon declared, his eyes burning with resolve. "That shall be my singular focus, above all else."
Lilith regarded him approvingly, sensing the unwavering conviction in his spirit. She knew he possessed the potential to one day stand alongside her in the God realm, but the path would be arduous and fraught with challenges and entertaining for her.
"Then let your journey begin," she said, turning and gesturing for him to follow.
"There is much for you to learn."
"I shall finish my explanation of the world of Adveka," Lilith began. "As I previously stated, it is a world governed by a system. Every aspect of this realm has a governing system that influences its development.
"For example, if you were to awaken the Mage system, it would direct your class toward that of a Mage. Various missions and quests would then be made available, and the rewards from completing them would help you progress along that path.
"Likewise, a Sword system would grant you a sword-based class, with potential sub-classes like Swordmaster or Magic Swordsman. The Mage system could have sub-classes as well, such as an Ice Mage specialization."
Lilith paused, gauging Damon's understanding. "The intricacies of these systems and the myriad possibilities they present are vast. The rest, you shall have to learn for yourself as you venture forth into Adveka."
"Lastly, you will acquire your system before departing, but first I must send you somewhere to train and understand your physical capabilities," Lilith said with a decisive tone.
She paused briefly, her gaze fixed on Damon. "Your current untamed body is at the Middle rank. Go forth and discover your true nature, your race. Do not forget to entertain me along the way."
With a snap of her fingers, the ground suddenly opened up beneath Damon, swallowing him once more. He had no time to prepare or react as he was transported to a new, unknown location.
Lilith watched impassively as he disappeared from view, confident that he would rise to the challenge she had set before him. She had never made a losing gamble before.
This trial would be the first step in Damon's journey to unlock his full potential and perhaps, one day, stand alongside her in the realm of the Gods.
