Fang Anning pushed the door open and entered the room. Sure enough, He Tingchen was already lying in bed asleep.
She deliberately closed the door with a loud bang, but the man did not curse at her.
It seemed that the sleeping pills worked well, allowing him to have a good night's sleep tonight.
"He Tingchen, it's you who intentionally tormented me, don't blame me for being impolite."
Fang Anning stood by the bed, rubbing her hands together, looking at his masked face with a sly smile.
Wearing that mask all day, who knows what kind of face lies beneath?
She reached out and gently removed the mask from his face.
She really wanted to see the true face underneath He Tingchen's mask.
Ha.
Fang Anning, holding the mask, took two steps back in shock.
This face?
It's too perfect!
The smooth and fair face radiated a distinct and cold handsomeness. Below the sharp, sword-like eyebrows that slanted upwards were closed eyelids. His eyelashes were long and curled, like a row of tiny brushes. His slightly pursed lips breathed evenly. Each part of his facial features was so perfect, and all together, they made up a flawless whole.
Fang Anning's breath nearly stopped.
Her mind was a jumble; she had never seen such an attractive man.
Indeed, "attractive" was the word; she couldn't find a better one to describe him.
"With such good looks, why are you so detestable?" Fang Anning couldn't help but reach out and gently touch his eyebrows and eyes, muttering to herself.
However, the man wouldn't answer her.
The man had drunk the milk laced with sleeping pills and was in a deep sleep, sleeping more peacefully than he ever had before.
Fang Anning's original plan had been to remove the man's mask and see what kind of ugly face lay beneath it.
Surely it was because he was so ugly that he became twisted inside and spent all day thinking about killing her.
But now, after unveiling the mask, it was completely different from what she had expected.
So the previous plan was no good anymore.
What other way was there to make him keep her and not think about killing her all the time?
Fang Anning thought about it and it seemed there was only one way.
"Don't blame me, this way I am the one who loses out the most," Fang Anning murmured.
After saying this, she put the mask aside. She quickly stripped off her clothes and dived into the man's bed.
She also undressed the man, wiping a hand over his body, confirming that he indeed felt great.
But she didn't dare to touch more, afraid that she couldn't control herself.
She lifted the man's arm and placed it under her neck, leaning against his shoulder and closing her eyes.
She thought she wouldn't be able to sleep like this.
Maybe it was because the man had tormented her so much that, as soon as she closed her eyes, she couldn't help but fall into a deep sleep.
She also slept very well.
Without any torturous sounds, she slept until dawn.
However….
"Who allowed you up here? Get off."
Fang Anning was sleeping soundly when the man kicked her, sending her and the blanket rolling onto the floor.
"What are you doing?"
Wrapped in the blanket, Fang Anning covered her body, feeling like her waist was about to break.
The blanket was yanked away by Fang Anning, and He Tingchen looked under the blanket at himself, his face filled with shock and horror.
He hurriedly got out of bed and swiftly put on his clothes.
However, in this gap, Fang Anning was holding her phone, furiously snapping pictures of He Tingchen.
By the time He Tingchen realized, Fang Anning had already taken several shots.
"You dare to take photos? Hand over the phone." He Tingchen, fully dressed, walked up to Fang Anning and reached out his hand.
Fang Anning tossed her phone into the blanket and said with a laugh, "If you can, come and get it. I'm not wearing anything."
Upon hearing that, He Tingchen's face turned even uglier as he asked in a deep voice, "What happened last night?"
"What happened, you don't remember? You carried me from the sofa to the bed, and what should have happened, happened. But, we are husband and wife, it's quite normal for this to happen," Fang Anning lied with her eyes wide open.
Indeed, this guy is just an inexperienced youngster. Otherwise, he would have known that nothing actually happened between them.
"I couldn't possibly do such a thing, it was you who ran to my bed," He Tingchen stated with certainty.
Fang Anning snorted with laughter, "You're quite the joker. I ran to your bed? If it were me, I would have been strangled before even getting close to your bed! Don't you know your own level of alertness?"
"But, I don't have any memory of carrying you to my bed last night," He Tingchen said coldly.
Fang Anning raised her eyebrows and made up a story, "Perhaps you were out of your mind. You act strangely on a regular basis, going crazy and doing such things wouldn't be out of the ordinary."
"Out of my mind? I've gone so crazy that I don't even remember what I did?" He Tingchen mumbled.
Fang Anning frowned, noticing his complexion turn dreadful after hearing her words.
His entire mental state was poor, as if his soul had been sucked out.
She couldn't help but ask in a guilty, soft voice, "Hey, are you alright?"
However, He Tingchen didn't answer her. He turned around, lost and listless, and left the place like a ghost.
Fang Anning bit her lip, had she done something wrong?
She hastily uncovered the blanket, put on her clothes, and chased after him.
But the man had disappeared without a trace, not even in the study.
Fang Anning found Mrs. Chen and asked anxiously, "Mrs. Chen, have you seen the master?"
Mrs. Chen shook her head and said, "No, what's wrong?"
Fang Anning pursed her lips, unable to tell Mrs. Chen about that matter. But she had seen He Tingchen looking very unwell just now.
If something were to happen to He Tingchen, not to mention what Old Mr. He had promised her, even staying alive could be impossible.
"Fang Anning, what exactly did you do to Young Mr. He?"
Suddenly, Liao Hanfeng rushed over, grabbed Fang Anning by the neck, and demanded.
Fang Anning was nearly choked out of breath, and quickly grabbed Liao Hanfeng's wrists with her hands, struggling to say, "I didn't do anything, cough cough, let go of me. Where is he?"
"You claim you did nothing, but he went into that room. If you hadn't done something to him, how could he have possibly walked in there?" Liao Hanfeng said angrily.
"Let her go."
Suddenly, a stern reproach made Liao Hanfeng release his grip.
Fang Anning held her neck, gasping for air, and coughed a few times.
She saw Old Mr. He had arrived, and couldn't help but exclaim in surprise, "Grandfather."
Liao Hanfeng hurriedly ran to Old Mr. He and said, "Old Mr. He, Young Mr. He went into that room. It must be this woman who did something to him, provoking him to go in there. This woman can't stay."
"Old Mr. He, you said that if I could stay for more than a month, you would help me," Fang Anning said urgently.
Old Mr. He, leaning on a cane, though his eyes seemed murky, they contained a sharp glint.
He looked at Fang Anning with deep-set eyes, took a deep breath, and said with commanding authority, "I did say that. But I did not allow you to harm him. Bring people, tie her up, and send her to Tingchen. Let him deal with her however he wants."
Fang Anning's face turned pale, and she collapsed on the ground.
Could she have made the wrong move?
