My eyes quickly scanned the other guards who had now turned, their attention solely focused on me. All they had to do was stare at their companion who was lying lifeless on the ground before they decided that they immediately knew I wasn't part of them. I braced myself just as the one of the men ran forward to attack me.
I raised my fists up just as the man rushed forward. His fist shot forward and I spun to the side narrowly missing his fist that swept dangerously close to my face. I grabbed the man's hand and channeling every ounce of adrenaline rushing through my veins, I twisted his arm to the side. The man released a grunt just as I raised my leg up high and kicked him hard on his face.
The man's eyes rolled in the back of his head, the grip he has on me loosing and I turned and smashed his head right next to the wall, knocking him out. Before I could relish in the victory another one ran forward and wrapped his arm around my torso, lifting me in the air but I instantly raised my legs and placed it on the wall.
Using on my strength, I pushed back. Both of us grunted as the man's back collided against the wall, I didn't think twice as I stamped down on his feet hard. The guard let out a yell which got silenced as I threw my head backwards, causing him to automatically let go of me. I turned around and threw a quick punch. His jaw cracked along with the sound of his head hitting the wall. His body slid and hit the ground with a loud thud.
Breathing heavily, I turned to look at the other guards. "Alright boys, who's next?"
I could see the hesitation in the rest of the guards as they stared at me, their gaze silently assessing me. I could see even the prisoners looked wary as they stared at me but I kept my eyes fixed on the guards.
There were now three of them remaining, all of them sizing me up with an expression if uncertainty and fear. The flexing muscles in their arms while their eyes narrowed showed me they were about to attack simultaneously and so I braced myself.
A guard charged forward at me while screaming something I couldn't understand from the noise of my adrenaline racing. But the message was clear, they were hell bent on not making me leave alive. The guard charged forward with a roar, grabbing me by my waist.
I staggered backwards from the impact but I still raised my hands up and started hitting him on his back with my elbows. The man grunted from the pain but his grip on me tightened, not letting go of me. He slammed hard against the wall and I winced in pain. Raising himself back up, he took a swing at me.
His fist connected with the side of my head and I whimpered at the impact. My head turned to the side so I couldn't see him raise his fist again. He gave me another punch to my stomach and I doubled over from the pain, my breath coming out in a wheeze.
Feeling pleased with himself, the man raised me up, his hand grabbing me tightly by my throat as he raised his other hand to punch me in the face. But just before his fist could reach me, I bent my side the other way just in time. The guard howled in pain as his hand connected with the wall.
I could make out the other two guards approaching me and so I sprang into action. I grabbed the first guard by his neck using him as a support for my weight as I leapt in the air and swung my foot into a roundhouse kick at the other guard who was approaching. I turned to the other one and tried to kick him but he stepped aside out of the way.
I let go of the other guard, turning to deliver him with an uppercut that sent him crashing to floor. The prisoners immediately circled around him and began to beat him up. I turned to the remaining other two and not bothering to wait, I rushed forward towards the other guards who briefly exchanged panicked glances before they brought out their weapons. Too slow!
I slid down under the swing of the first guard sword as it brush against air, narrowly missing my head. I used my position and kicked at the other guard, then I stood up grabbed the other one with the weapon and drew him to me. Clenching my hands into a fist just like the way Bjorn taught me, I struck forward. Launching my fist right in the middle of his chest where I knew his airway would be, making him lose his breath.
I didn't let him catch his breath, I raised my knee and then I raised my knee up to his face and broke his jaw causing him to fall to the floor. The last guard turned to look at me, looking slightly pale as he held his sword.
"Who are you? Why are you doing this?" The guard asked me, his voice trembling slightly.
Sniffing, I straightened to my full height. "You should have thought about that before picking on poor people and using them as some sick entertainments."
His hold on the sword weakened until his knuckles became ghostly pale. Deep breaths inflated and deflated his chest as fear danced across his eyes. He was young and at the wrong place at the wrong time.
"Listen man," He stammered as he retreated one step. "I don't even know what I'm doing here, I'm just doing as they asked me."
"Such weak excuse." I mumbled under my breath, "And while I would love to hold your hand and point you in the wrong direction but I'm afraid I have to go now and you can't stop me."
I saw it the minute the guard made his decision but too bad he was slow. I turned around and then used my hand to slap the side of his neck, knocking him out immediately.
When I was done, I turned to look at the prisoners who still watched me with a wary look on their faces. "Alright, let's go." I said and then begin to move but one of the prisoner's stopped me.
"Um, please wait." The voice called out with uncertainty.
"What is it?"
The prisoner stepped forward, "Can you please save the rest of us? They are still down in the dungeon."
"And how many of them are there?"
"A lot!" The prisoner answered looking at me dead in the eye.
