Chapter 2 - WHEN WILL IT BE PERFECT?

CHAPTER 2

Kaylee stormed into the practice hall.

"Miss Zachary, you are late," the dance coach uttered. Everyone had sat down like Muslims when they pray. She knew she was late but decided to bring out the attitude.

"When did that start? Anyway, who are you? You must be the new coach," Kaylee walked to the table, brought out her pen, signed in and out on the signing booklet. Then she walked towards the door, but before she could open it—

"Don't you dare walk out of that door," the coach ordered. Kaylee stared at him, gave a wry scoff, and walked toward him.

"You must not have gotten enough orientation, or haven't you heard? What makes you think the former coach left? I fired her! So if you mess up, I would fire you too!"

"I think you are threatening me!"

"Oh yes, your thoughts are right."

"Ok, well Talent Home is a firm. Three people own it. Your mother has the highest shares. She owns 40% of it. My brother owns 35%, and my in-law owns 25%. Add 35 and 25. It is 60%. So I think I have more expelling power than you. So, I order you to sit on the floor!"

The coach patrolled the stage. Kaylee stared at him. He had gray eyes. It reminded her of someone who had challenged her the same way. His gray eyes made her settle. It was weird; she just got weak and was conquered by his eyes. Not his words, anyway. She sat on the floor like the others. Everyone started murmuring. It was a first in history. Coach Warren was supposed to be glad he broke the record, but his face was expressionless.

"My name is Warren," he introduced himself.

—Warren, Warren, that name rings a bell.—

"Oh, Vivienne! That newbie!" Kaylee thought.

"Kaylee, are we together?"

"I have a question," Kaylee said.

"Ask."

"How are you related to Vivienne Warren?"

"She is my daughter."

"Ha! Daughter? Are you serious?" I guess it was all set up... haha. No wonder! Her family is close to Mom.

"Why didn't I realize you were the Kaylee that stripped her of her uniform shirt?"

"Ha! I had every right to do that. After all, she called me a stripper. What do you think strippers do? They strip people of their clothes."

Coach gave her a stern look, and she returned it.

"Back to business!" he said, trying to ignore his anger, but it was obvious he was angry. "I need two people to come out and dance the waltz."

No one came out.

"Then I will have to call you out," he said.

Kaylee knew he was going to call her out.

"Philip!" Mr. Warren called out.

Kaylee's eyes opened wide. She could hardly swallow. Philip was one of the reasons she didn't want to come to dance class. She had a huge crush on him. Mary had advised her to confess her love. She did, and he turned her down.

"You are not my type. You don't have what I want in a lady. You are evil, and your ass is not big enough," those were the piercing words he said to her.

"Kaylee! You both dance to the music, and let's see."

Kaylee felt like peeing in her pants. It was going to be embarrassing—
