Chapter 40 - Chapter 37 Back to the training ground

The system's words made Ryo overjoyed! Why didn't you say it earlier?

Wouldn't it have been easier if you told me sooner?

Ryo hurried into the system store and took a look. Sure enough, there were clothes!

These clothes looked quite rich. There were not only ordinary clothes but also clothes from the three major corps, including the Survey Corps, the Garrison Corps, and the Military Police Corps!

Ryo looked at the prices. They were quite steep—one piece of clothing required five days' worth of supplies!

Under normal circumstances, he would never have considered buying them. Who would buy something so expensive? Only an idiot would!

But right now, Ryo had no choice. Without clothes, he would be trapped here!

So, he gritted his teeth and bought a set of clothes. After changing into them, Ryo felt much better! He quietly walked along the lake and peeked over. The group of girls was still guarding the bonfire!

He stuck out his tongue. These girls must be really angry. Next time he saw them, he'd make sure to take a detour!

Quietly, he took a long way around, away from the lake, and returned to the dormitory.

"Ryo, are you okay? We were so worried!" Armin and Eren were both very nervous, especially Eren. After he came back, Armin had told him about the mistake he made. He knew he had messed up, and now, he wanted to apologize to Ryo.

"Forget it, it's not a big deal. I forgive you."

Eren's apology was sincere, and since no one else in the dormitory knew about what had happened, Ryo decided to let it go to avoid making things bigger. Besides, he could see that it was Armin who had taught Eren how to apologize so seriously.

Eren, after apologizing so earnestly, probably thought that would be enough for Ryo to forgive him.

Though everything seemed to have passed without incident, Ryo's image among the girls was definitely damaged. Even though they didn't make it public, it wasn't something to be proud of. It was embarrassing, and though they didn't openly confront him, they couldn't help but glare at him when they saw him. Clearly, they hadn't forgiven him so easily.

Ryo could only shrug helplessly. But it didn't matter. He had Krista, and Krista would forgive him!

"Ryo, are you okay?"

The next morning, Krista, with dark circles under her eyes from staying up all night, came to the boys' dormitory worried. When she saw Ryo was fine, she finally sighed in relief.

"I'm fine, I'm fine. But what's wrong with you? Why do you look like you haven't slept all night?"

Ryo touched Krista's face with some concern. What was she doing, staying up so late?

"It's nothing, Ryo. I'm just glad you're okay!" Krista smiled, though she looked exhausted.

"Are you really okay? You should rest today. It's a holiday. You don't need to come out for training!"

Ryo had originally planned to take Krista into the city for a stroll, but seeing how sleep-deprived she looked, he decided it was better for her to go rest. She looked so pitiful. It would be better to send her back to rest than to have her pushing herself.

"Okay, I know!" Krista smiled, her face brightening.

Ryo was stunned for a moment. Krista was becoming more and more beautiful!

"Um, Ryo… don't do that again in the future, or they'll be angry," Krista hesitated, her face turning red. "If you want to see Krista's body, just tell her…"

Her voice trailed off, but Ryo completely understood what she meant. He was shocked. Did she just say…

After saying that, Krista handed a pile of washed clothes to Ryo, "Ryo, these are your clothes. You must take good care of them. If you lose them again, it won't be easy to find them!"

With that, she quickly ran off, her face still red.

Ryo stood there stunned, holding the clothes she handed him. Then it hit him!

The reason Krista hadn't slept all night was because she was worried that he was still out by the lake. She must've stayed by the lake all night just in case something happened to him.

That girl was so silly, but so sweet. Ryo couldn't help but feel warm and moved. Krista was so thoughtful and caring toward him, and it made him feel incredibly lucky.

Ryo silently vowed to take good care of Krista and never let her feel any pain.

After putting the clothes Krista gave him back into his dormitory, Ryo walked toward the training ground.

Even though it was a holiday, he had nowhere to go without Krista by his side. And training could help him gain experience to level up quicker!

That's still a good deal.

Ryo insisted on training for about ten hours every day. Even when others were resting, he was out on the training ground, sweating and pushing himself.

Though, as a transmigrator, Ryo had advantages—he knew more than others and had the system to back him up—he never slacked off because of it!

It's one thing to have advantages others don't, but if your attitude isn't right, and you're always looking for shortcuts, it won't work.

If you want to get stronger, you have to have a strong heart!

In this world, strength was far too important for a person!

But when Ryo arrived at the training ground, something felt off. Why did it look like everyone was keeping an eye on him?
