The young girl, Elara Fey sat there as a comb ran through her hair. In fact several things seemed to be happening to her and none of them seemed to be being specifically done by her. She'd had makeup applied to her face and her measurements were being analyzed as well. Of course this was all to be expected of someone who was about to undergo a wedding. With all that said Elara Fey made a beautiful bride, one that even a prince would scarcely be worthy of.
Queen Seraphina: "Mmmmm I'm not sure I like it yet! I can't put my finger on it but I feel something's missing!"
Queen Serpahina hit her lips and gave Elara's body a puzzling look. Of course this wasn't because Elara Fey wasn't the very template for beauty, but that her beauty hadn't been maximized. For a lady of Seraphina's stature——the queens that is. Maximizing one's beauty was something of utmost importance and was second to only the royal duties one had been tasked with doing. Of course after this Elara Fey herself would be royalty, which hadn't crossed her mind that much ironically.
Lila : "Perhaps she needs some more toner?"
Selene: "Or maybe she needs a magical touch-up?"
Queen Seraphina smacked her lips and her head started to move from side to side.
Queen Seraphina: "No, what she really needs is something that highlights her status as a hero. That adds to not just her beauty but strength as well!"
As she said that the room door flew open and everyone turned to see the fiery orange-eyed girl walking in as if she'd been there the whole time. Though she was dressed up spectacularly she wore a beautiful green dress with specks of orange in it, needles to say it'd been especially crafted for the [Arch Priestess.]
Mika: "Well if that's the case you've come to the right girl! I know exactly what to add to her look!"
Mika smiled as she hit an extravagant pose as if she was the one who was royalty in the room. She'd had a sharp sword in her hand that had a gold gem towards the handle. It was an excellent blade, even a normal person could tell the craftsmanship that'd gone into it. It wasn't something that'd been made for just anyone however…
Elara: "Mika! You finally made it!"
Elara jumps up not being able to contain herself as she hugs her friend. Needless to say it was nice to have another girl around. It wasn't as if Elara didn't like her other friends, but on something as complicated as a wedding day the bride could have no shortage of supporting women.
Mika: "Well, Rowan and I got a little held up but we brought you something a [Hero] shouldn't be without see?"
Mika held up the sword. On the topic of the sword the case was that it hadn't been made for just anyone, in fact it'd been made for perhaps the greatest sword practitioner in the world the [Hero] Elara Fey. Of course the blade itself could only have been in the hands of a [Hero] as the mere energy the sword exuded was equal to that of an army with thousands of soldiers. This was even more so the case when Elara Fey held it in her hands. One could say her skills with the sword were when the true [strength] of the [Hero] could be felt.
Elara: "My sword! I thought I'd lost it! Where'd you guys find it?"
Mika: "You must've left it at the cabin awhile back! Rowan and I brought it for you so make sure you keep up with it this time!"
Mika waved her finger in an authoritative manner and Elara gave her a puppy-dog face and nodded her head in agreement. Then she turned to the Queen who'd been sitting with a shocked look on her face.
Mika: "Well your majesty I'd say this makes her look like a warrior-bride wouldn't you?"
Elara straps the swords to her left hip. It sat there settling in perfectly to the curves of her hips. It seemed as if the sword had not just been made to be wielded by her but also to just—-exist with her. No one could deny this fact as they stared upon them two of them, feeling the energy from the [Hero] and the [Hero's Blade] to be very intimidating. Queen Serpahina smiled.
Queen Seraphina: "Yes, that's quite right it's only fitting that a warrior has their blade. It seems the perfect touch has come at last, thank you Mika."
Mika smiled.
Mika: "Well what can I say I'm sort of a natural at these things, it's no big deal."
Queen Seraphina: "Well it seems our work here is done, I'll leave you alone before the festivities begin. Come now, we'll go see if that delinquent daughter of mine has found a good date."
Lila and Selene: "Yes my Queen."
Queen Seraphina: "I'll see you two later, make sure you don't get too dirty before we start."
Seraphina looked at Elara with a smile but a bit of playfulness in her eyes. Elara smiled back with a hint of playfulness in her eyes as well.
Elara: "Yes, my Queen."
Mika: "Well see you later! Maybe after the wedding we can talk hair and stuff!"
Queen Seraphina: "It would be an honor. I'll see you soon okay?"
Seraphina closed the door disappearing into the hallway. She left Mika and Elara alone, who wasted no time seizing the opportunity.
Elara: "Man that's a load off now that she's gone. I feel so stuffed up in this wedding dress though I do feel really cute though!"
Elara twirled around a bit as a smile came to her face. Mika smiled as a teasing look came onto her face.
Mika: "Yeah you look amazing, though does the Hero of Geonosia really need to look this cute? You'll lose your intimidation!"
She poked at Elara who laughed and quickly brushed off her friends teasing. This was simply the way Mika Faelan was with everyone, though one could say the effect was amplified with Rowan Agoul too. She did tend to tease him a bit more, but Elara Fey still managed to get her fair share though her's was a bit less brutal than Rowan's.
Elara: "Oh shut up!"
Mika: "Hehe! Sorry!"
Elara rolled her eyes.
Elara: "Anyways you said Rowan was with you? Don't tell me you ditched him to come and find me!"
Mika: "ugh?! How did you know?!"
Elara: "Mika it isn't funny! Rowan's never been to the capital you can't just leave him!"
Mika: "Oh relax I'm only kidding! I would've ditched him but the princess got her hands on him first. Honestly he's better off with her than with me since I would've teased him if he were here!"
Elara: "I don't doubt that...wait a minute you said he was with the Princess?!"
Elara paused as she heard that information. What could the Princess have wanted with Rowan? He wasn't exactly someone that would catch the eye of a royal.
Mika: "Yeah something about being her date to the wedding, honestly I don't know what all that's about! Sylphine could do way better than Rowan! But ya know what they say!"
Elara paused for a second and a puzzled look came onto her face. She truly was confused at the words Mika had just said. And truth be told anyone looking from the outside in would have been as well, but perhaps she was more confused due to the fact that she knew Rowan personally. What could the Princess want with him?
Elara: "Rowan's going on a date...with the Princess?"
Rowan sat there with an awkward look on his face. Why would there be an awkward look you ask? Well that could be due to a plethora of reasons which all faced Rowan vehemently in his present. It could've been the tight Navy blue suit that pressed against his small frame. Or it could've been the grease on his hair which slicked it back so much that he felt his face would be stretched violently. Or it simply could've been the taste or rejection which was still fresh in his mind, however at the moment it was none of those things...
Rowan: "Umm why is everyone staring at me?"
It was simply due to the stares of multiple people in the room. Who stared at him with calculating and analyzing eyes. It wasn't as if there was malice in them but the sheer number of those eyes and who they belonged to was something Rowan's emotions couldn't ignore.
Matthew: "You actually look totally...…kind of handsome!"
Rowan: "Only "kind of" handsome?!"
Leo:"Come on man that's a compliment!"
Rowan:"What kind of compliment is that?! And why are you guys acting like I'm ugly or something?!"
Rowan sat there with eyes peering at him. Not only was it the members of the [Hero's Party] staring at him it was also the king of the royal family Alderaan. He stared at him with quite a peculiar look which made Rowan wish he'd stayed back the the cabin.
Tarran: "You're not ugly Rowan the other guys are just jealous their clothes aren't enhancing their appearance."
Rowan: "Yeah you're right. Wait...doesn't that mean you think I'm ugly too!?"
Rowan's head slumped as his mind started to run a bit. Plenty of thoughts passed his mind but the most prominent one was the fact that he somehow had secured a date with the princess and had made it to the capital all in one fell swoop. He was also rejected by his true love, Elara Fey and would have to see her wedding in this same day as well. There were plenty of emotions swirling around the young man but none were being incited as much as they were by the man that stood in front of him. And also the woman of course.
King Alden: "Excuse me, sir Rowan Agoul was it?"
Rowan: "Yes sir that's me! Yes!"
Rowan bowed to the king causing him to shoot him a heartwarming smile and bowing to Rowan as he did so.
King Alden: "I humbly thank you for, taking my daughter's hand in courtship today. I know she can be quite a handful and any man that's courting her must not be faint of heart so,I thank you."
Princess Sylphine: "Dad!"
Rowan: "Oh no it's fine! Honestly I should be the one who's bowing down! Your daughter chose a lowly peasant like me to bring to the hero's wedding! So, thank you!"
Rowan bowed his head low to the King the Queen closing his eyes as he did so. He'd never met the queen and the king before this, as he'd only ever seen the two from afar whenever he was holding his duties as the [Hero's Party.] Though his overall impression of royalty itself wasn't a good one so it would've been correct to say that, he was absolutely shocked to see the way that the king and queen of his country operated as he'd only ever seen them in diplomatic settings and never this close up.
Queen Seraphina: "Honestly you shouldn't be so hard on yourself. We're surprised our daughter found such a wholesome man. She usually has no luck with the guys."
Sylphine's eyes widened and a blush settled in on her face. She grabbed her mother and father and started to drag them out of them room.
Princess Sylphine: "Okay that's enough! Sorry Rowan! We'll see you when it's time for the royal family's walk! Please be ready okay!?"
The door shuts and the three royals finally leave the room. Rowan didn't want to seem rude but a weight had definitely been lifted off his shoulders, seeing the Queen and King leave. They were still the leaders of his country but they made his extremely nervous.
Rowan: "Man, that was heavy I felt like I was about to die just talking to them."
Matthew: "What's wrong you act like you just came back from the kingdom of [Kenosah] not scored a date with the Princess!"
Rowan: "I wouldn't use the term "scored a date" it's more like I got dragged along against my will."
Leo: "Oh cheer up, you know how many guys would kill to be in your position?"
Rowan: "By the sound of it a lot but that doesn't make me feel any better. In fact it makes me feel worse."
Rowan slumped his head as he heard his friends words. Indeed most people would be happy at the prospect of landing a date with the princess but Rowan Agoul couldn't be happy with such a thing. First of all wasn't the saying of it wrong? He hadn't scored a date with her had he? It was more like he was dragged into a date with her, rather than anything he did with his own abilities. That wasn't to say he couldn't score a date, though that was doubted by he himself as he'd just been rejected by Elara Fey the [Hero.]
Matthew: "Anyways, you said Mika came with you right? Any idea where she went?"
Rowan sort of frowned at the thought of Mika Faelan the [Arch-priestess] of the [Hero's party.] she was definitely someone that was an interesting person, even those who knew her still held this impression of her in fact it seemed to be heighten by that prospect. Indeed Mika Faelan was one of the worst and best parts about Rowan Agoul's time as a [Weapon Holder] especially in moments like this.
Rowan: "She said she was going to find Elara, so she took her sword and ran off. Without even telling me where you guys were."
Matthew: "Yeah that sounds like Mika. Thanks for bringing our weapons by the way we really appreciate it."
Rowan: "Well I am the [Weapon Holder], kinda defeats the purpose if I don't do my job right?"
Rowan flashed a smile and at this Matthew sort of look away and a serious look on his face appeared. It was one that wasn't befitting of the smile he'd just received at all and seemed off putting in the moment. He furrowed his eyebrows as well looking at the smile that Rowan wore on his face with a critical look.
Rowan: "Huh? Why are you staring at me like that?"
Matthew: "I was just wondering how you were feeling...last time I saw you..."
Rowan had a sort of blank expression on his face not really getting what Matthew was trying to say. He knew he'd wanted to convey something but didn't necessarily know what he was talking about. Now it wasn't as if he'd meant to be oblivious but Rowan still sat there with a blank expression his friend giving him a bit of a troubled expression.
Matthew: "Mmmm! Don't make me spell it out! Are you really that clueless that I have to lay it out for you?!"
Rowan stared at him with a blank expression until his eyes suddenly flashed with a spark of life. The situation with Elara came into his mind and angling returned to his eyes. Indeed it should've been a simple solution for the man named Rowan Agoul, it was a simple thing that friends called a common occurrence. it was simply...…
Rowan: "Oh, I get it now I'm sorry if I made you worry, Matthew."
Rowan bowed to him moving the front is his body forward as he did so. This gesture wasn't something Rowan made a habit of. It was simply something that his body has decided to do that moment, he considered it the best way to convey his feelings on the matter. To convey the feeling that was simply...friendship. The bond formed Between Rowan Agoul and the man known as Matthew, the all-rounder of the [Hero's Party.]
Matthew: "Damn it! If you get it stop making me get all sappy and say something more manly already!"
Rowan: "Huh? What's with that reaction?! I gave you my honest feelings, isn't that enough!?"
From the outside in it seemed as if Rowan's honest feelings had been rejected. But that wasn't what had actually happened in the critical moments of friendship that had taken place at the moment. This was simply the relationship between the [Weapon Holder] and the male companions of the [Hero's party]. More particularly the relationship between Rowan and Matthew which had been formed through what people would call "bonds".
Leo: "I've never seen him be this pouty are the effects of Rowan rubbing off on him?"
Tarran: "No it's more likely that he and Rowan are just one side of the same coin."
Rowan: "Hey! Why is everyone insulting me?! Isn't he the one you should be after?!"
At the banter of the others joining in Rowan couldn't help but fire back though he found himself sporting a smile as he did. This was simply the product of the men in the room being such good friends. In fact had anyone not privy to the relationships that these men had they'd still be able to see the depth of which those relationships existed and went.
Rowan: "But really thank you Matthew, for everything."
He gave a gracious smile and although he'd wanted to hide it everyone in the room could see the giant smile present on Matthew's face. That was in fact, because everyone else had that same smile present on their face as well. It was an infectious feeling one that you couldn't manifest unnaturally it was something that could only be formed by what was undoubtedly a bond.
Matthew: "You're welcome. But don't make a habit of acting like a loser, I won't be around to pick you up every time."
Matthew smiled as he said these harsh sounding words and so did Rowan as he headed for the door. It was strange but this had actually been a positive interaction and these smiles had been an even more positive reaction. Nothing was out of the ordinary even the deprecation that was constantly hitting Rowan Agoul.
Rowan: "Yeah you got it. Anyways I think I'm gonna step out and get some fresh air I'll see you guys all once the ceremony starts. Try not to have too much fun without me."
Leo: "Don't get lost while you're walking around! And enjoy your hot date with the princess!"
Rowan: "Yeah!"
Rowan walked out of the door waving goodbye as he did so. He made sure to walk slowly as not to get too much sweat onto the clothes he was wearing at the moment. It might've been sad to say but these were undoubtedly the best clothes Rowan had ever worn. It wouldn't be far-fetched to say that Rowan Agoul was cheap. Perhaps the cheapest person he himself knew, though that was mostly because he didn't make a fair sum of money.
As he continued walking he came to an area with a small balcony he was looking down as he walked outside. The balcony overlooked most of [Geonosia] which made for an amazing view. Rowan though had been looking down as he approached it, lost in thought as a giant smile flashed across his face.
Rowan: "That's right things aren't over yet! You've still got time Rowan! One day you'll reach Elara! One day you'll get your happy ending!"
He pointed to the sky as he did this looking up to the sky as well. That was when his presence registered another presence that was so close to him he was shocked he'd never noticed it. The voice was the first thing that was registered but it was enough to make the actions he'd just shown even more embarrassing. The only saving grace being that he hadn't said any of it aloud and just did a gesture.
Elara "Oh hey Rowan I didn't see you out here!"
Elara flashed a smile.
Rowan: "eh?"
Elara: "Rowan are you okay?"
Rowan just smiled and laughed as he looked up to the heavens.
Rowan: "OH COME ON!!!!!"
He'd just embarrassed himself in front of Elara Fey. Further hindering the embarrassment of a man that was Rowan Agoul.
