However, Long Buyu not only didn't want to die, but also wished to keep the Fire Kylin as his beast.

Doesn't your teacher tell you that, in the face of absolute power, all schemes are jokes? Only with benefits or leverage can one control life and death."
Kent was upset, trying to help but being treated poorly, but he could control his emotions. After a few deep breaths, Kent said, "I have a solution, but since you're being so hostile, I'll stop trying. You can continue, I'm done here."
The Kylin and Long Buyu froze. The former didn't react, but Long Buyu seemed anxious. Realizing his mistake, he immediately looked a little embarrassed.
Long Buyu gritted his teeth. "Kent, if you really have a solution, then speak. I apologize."
On the surface, Long Buyu seemed indifferent to his life, but in truth, he cherished it as much as anyone else. The only difference was his relentless pursuit of truth.
Kent wanted to mock him but thought the Kylin had little patience. So, he shared his idea.
"The solution is simple. Long Buyu, you break the contract with your beast and swear to follow me as my subordinate. Only then will you be able to save your life."
"Follow you? Are you joking?" Long Buyu didn't believe Kent's words. He had no intention of following anyone, so he naturally refused.
Kent immediately grew stern and said coldly, "If you follow me, I'll prepare a beast for you that is no less powerful than the Fire Kylin. Otherwise, you're on your own. Don't overestimate your worth."
Long Buyu's eyes lit up, but Kent's words angered him, causing a slight pause. After thinking it through, he finally nodded. "Swear to the heavens that you will keep your promise. Once I break the contract and follow you, you will spare my life and give me a Heavenly grade beast of high quality."
Kent solemnly nodded and swore, "I, Kent, swear to the heavens to spare Long Buyu's life and provide him with a high-quality Heavenly grade beast."
Hearing the oath, Long Buyu relaxed.
With Long Buyu's side settled, Kent shifted his gaze to the Kylin.
"Lord Kylin, I speak honestly. If you spare both Long Buyu and my life, I will gather your family together. I'm a Beast Master, and I can quickly help your son evolve. Your son is currently a Heavenly grade beast at level 47. I can help him evolve to a low-tier Saint grade and increase his level to 50, truly making him a royal-level life form."
Kent's tone was sincere, and his eyes were clear.
The Kylin was somewhat moved by Kent's sincerity or perhaps the tempting offer. His eyes brightened as he said in a deep voice, "If you can really deliver on your promise, what's the harm in agreeing?"
Kent sighed in relief. Since both sides agreed to his terms, the matter was basically settled.
Though it seemed like Kent was doing all the hard work, he knew he was the real winner—he'd gained Long Buyu as a subordinate and stopped the Kylin's wrath. If the Kylin's fury were unleashed, humanity would suffer greatly, and that would be a tremendous accomplishment. Also, he'd established a relationship with the Kylin.
"Did he really agree?" From a distance, Huang Jintian and Ye Autumn looked on in shock. The Kylin had actually agreed to Kent's terms and spared Long Buyu.
Long Buyu, on the other hand, was stunned. He never expected Kent to truly have a way to save him. However, he had never heard of a Beast Master having such capabilities—helping a beast evolve and level up so quickly was mind-boggling.
"To evolve a Heavenly grade beast to a low-tier Saint grade in such a short time and raise it from level 47 to 50... this is unbelievable."
Huang Jintian and Ye Autumn exchanged a glance, both seeing disbelief in each other's eyes.
"Long Buyu, you can break the contract now, but you can't leave just yet. Without your beast, it won't be easy to return safely to the city," Kent instructed.
Long Buyu nodded and, with a thought, broke the contract with the Fire Kylin. Immediately, both of them glowed with a green light, and the Fire Kylin, unable to bear the loss of its connection, threw Long Buyu off its back and joyfully ran toward the Kylin. It was not strong enough yet to speak.
The Kylin nodded and gave a serious look, a hint of gentleness flashing through his eyes. "Stand aside."
Kent signaled for Garfield to fly up and catch Long Buyu, bringing him to safety.
"Lord Kylin, do you see my beast? It was once an ordinary pet cat, contracted by me when it was only a mid-tier Bronze. But now, it's a high-tier Heavenly grade beast. This took less than a year." Kent said, "So, you can rest assured of my Beast Master skills, and please cooperate. After all, I can't make it level up out of thin air."
The Kylin looked at Garfield, the flying cat king, for a moment, then nodded, seemingly trusting Kent's words.
"Alright, you make a good point. I'll do as you say. But if I discover you're trying to trick me, you know the consequences," the Kylin warned.
Kent didn't dare to deceive him. He now turned his attention back to the Fire Kylin and scanned its attributes again.
