Chapter 121 - Dragon Blood Violent Serpent

White Earth continued to introduce various items, some of which were unfamiliar to it, including several giant eggs. These eggs had been stolen from the nests of other creatures while they were digging their tunnels. During the process, they inadvertently breached other creatures' nests and casually took the eggs and other items back to their own group.

Kent couldn't help but show a peculiar expression when he heard this, his perception of the mountain drills changing. It seemed these creatures had a natural tendency to steal.

Kent took a few more useful minerals and grabbed one of the giant eggs.

"Prompt: You have discovered an egg containing a faint Dragon Bloodline, possibly hatching into a Golden Rank native beast," the system notified.

Kent's eyes flickered with understanding. This was likely the offspring of a Dragon and a Python, the Dragon Blood Violent Serpent.

"No wonder the Dragon Blood Violent Serpent was so determined to hunt you down—it must have been because you stole this egg," Kent mused to himself. He couldn't help but laugh at the mountain drills. If someone stole your egg, you'd probably do the same and go after them. This disaster was of their own making.

However, Kent didn't voice this opinion out loud, trusting that White Earth had already realized this themselves.

As for the Dragon Blood Violent Serpent's egg, although Kent no longer considered it useful for summoning beasts of that rank, he could always sell it and make a small profit.

Soon, they arrived at a pile of stones that glowed with a red light. About 180 of them were the size of a fist and emitted a mysterious aura that made Kent's heart skip a beat.

"Master, these are Memory Stones. You may take up to a hundred. If you wish to take more, we can negotiate a trade. We trust you," White Earth said respectfully.

Kent nodded and planned to test whether the stones could enhance his combat techniques. If so, he would take all of them.

"I'll test them first. You go outside and stand guard," Kent instructed.

Without hesitation, Kent took one of the Memory Stones, drew a black dagger, and cut his palm. Blood flowed freely, and he held the stone tightly. Almost immediately, he felt a strange sensation rush into his body.

"Master, please perform an action. One Memory Stone can enhance muscle memory for three minutes," White Earth reminded him.

Kent immediately drew his black blade and performed the Dragon Breath Blade Technique, a fourth-tier combat skill. It took less than three minutes to complete.

After three minutes, Kent felt a tingling sensation throughout his body, as if some change had taken place. He closed his eyes and focused. After a moment, he smiled.

He executed the Dragon Breath Blade Technique again, his movements fluid and graceful. The technique was now far smoother, and areas that had previously felt awkward now clicked into place. His proficiency had increased dramatically.

"Indeed, it can enhance combat techniques," Kent's eyes lit up. These Memory Stones were far more extraordinary than he had imagined.

Previously, it had taken him over a month to learn the Dragon Breath Blade Technique, and another six months to achieve a minor level of mastery, all through intense training. But after using just one Memory Stone, he felt the progress equivalent to at least a month of hard practice, if not more. He was thrilled, realizing the possibility of advancing the technique to a higher level in a short time.

If he could perfect the Dragon Breath Blade Technique, his combat strength would skyrocket, and reaching a B-level warrior would be within reach. Even an A-level warrior might not be far off.

"I'll take them all. For the extra ones, I'll compensate you accordingly. I can help you evolve and level up," Kent said, delighted.

White Earth and the other mountain drills were visibly excited. For them, the Memory Stones weren't that useful. At most, they would help the newly born mountain drills quickly master tunnel-digging and construction skills.

However, it took three to five months for a new mountain drill to grow, during which time they could learn these abilities through practice.

At that moment, one of the mountain drills that had been on lookout rushed in, panic-stricken.

White Earth translated hurriedly, "Master, the Dragon Blood Violent Serpent has returned."

Kent nodded and stepped out of the warehouse. It didn't take long to spot the massive serpent—a hundred-meter-long creature with a dark purple hue. It was the same one Kent had encountered earlier that day.

"I had planned to spare you, but fate has other plans," Kent murmured softly. He hid his presence in a small tunnel, carefully waiting for the right moment.

His goal wasn't to drive it away or capture it alive, but to kill the Dragon Blood Violent Serpent and prevent future problems.

Additionally, the Dragon Blood Violent Serpent was a royal-class monster, comparable to the God-Power Wild Bull. Kent was sure its flesh would be valuable, enough to trade for more minerals and Memory Stones.

"Bajie, get close quietly. Wait for my signal to strike with the piercing attack."

"Garfield, use Super Transformation to shrink your size and find the opportunity to strike a fatal blow to its eyes."

"Wukong, you're tough and strong. Engage it head-on to give Garfield the chance he needs."

Kent silently communicated with his three summoned beasts. After receiving their responses, he crouched and lay in ambush, waiting for the Dragon Blood Violent Serpent to fall asleep.

Ten minutes later, the serpent lay motionless, likely in a deep sleep.

Kent moved swiftly, leaping out of the small passageway. He landed on top of the coiled Dragon Blood Violent Serpent and summoned his three beasts.

As soon as they appeared, they followed Kent's orders without hesitation.

Bajie merged with the shadows, blending into the darkness against the wall. Garfield dived straight down, aiming for the serpent's head to deliver a fatal blow.

However, the Dragon Blood Violent Serpent didn't fall asleep as expected. It immediately woke up and reacted swiftly. Seeing Garfield plummeting toward it, the serpent opened its mouth, unleashing a suction force that sped Garfield's descent.

Startled, Garfield managed to twist in mid-air, narrowly escaping the suction range.

The Dragon Blood Violent Serpent quickly adjusted its body, preparing for battle. Wukong, holding his long staff, charged in, aiming a powerful strike at the serpent.

The serpent's eyes gleamed coldly as it opened its mouth wide and tried to bite Wukong's arm. Given Wukong's size, it couldn't swallow him, so it aimed to sever his arm instead.

But Wukong wasn't about to let that happen. Without hesitation, he swung his staff, smashing it into the serpent's head with a resounding thud, accompanied by the sickening sound of bones breaking.

The Dragon Blood Violent Serpent's head was nearly smashed to the ground, the force of the blow almost crippling it. Kent breathed a sigh of relief.

It seemed the Dragon Blood Violent Serpent had underestimated the power of Wukong's strike. With a staff weighing eight thousand pounds and Wukong's innate strength, even a true Dragon would hesitate to face such a blow.
