"Native Beast Name: Dragon Blood Violent Serpent
Native Beast Rank: High Gold Tier
Native Beast Level: 52
...
Abilities: 1. Devour. It spits out a whirlwind to swallow its prey. 2. Crush. With incredible speed and a heavy body, it crushes everything in its path. 3. Dragon Transformation. By burning its essence blood, it can transform into a dragon, doubling its combat strength. 4. Command. It can command surrounding serpents and pythons to fight for it.
Weakness: In the forest, its massive body can't stretch freely when facing smaller prey."
Kent's expression shifted in surprise. He hadn't expected this native beast to contain the blood of a dragon. Does that mean it's a descendant of a dragon?
In the evolutionary chain, snakes evolve into dragons, and dragons evolve into true dragons. A true dragon is as powerful as a fire dragon and is also a Saint-tier beast. Dragons can fly, burrow into the earth, dive into water, and some even say dragons are stronger than fire dragons.
Kent was genuinely astonished today. First, he had encountered a descendant of the qilin, an exotic fire qilin, and now a descendant of a dragon — the Dragon Blood Violent Serpent. In the ancient myths of Earthstar and ancient China, the qilin and dragon were both highly revered.
"Garfield, let's go."
Kent had no intention of dealing with the Dragon Blood Violent Serpent. He quickly snapped a photo of it with his camera and made a swift exit.
It wasn't that he couldn't defeat this native beast — in fact, he was about 80% sure of winning. But his goal this time wasn't to fight; it was to explore the entire secret realm. There was no need to waste time on combat.
Garfield, with his leaping ability, quickly jumped to a high branch, soaring a hundred feet into the air, then continued to jump rapidly through the treetops. The Dragon Blood Violent Serpent could only watch helplessly, unable to follow.
"The Moiling Secret Realm is a Tier 3 realm, and the strongest native beasts should be King-tier monsters. I never expected to encounter an Emperor-tier beast here. This place shouldn't be underestimated," Kent muttered to himself.
He wondered why such an Emperor-tier beast appeared here. Was it because the geography of the realm was particularly special?
And could other Emperor-tier beasts be lurking here as well?
He had no answers for these questions yet, and could only uncover the mysteries by continuing his exploration.
"What's that?"
Ahead of him, a large cluster of vibrant flowers appeared on the trees. These flowers grew directly from the trunks, without stems, as if stuck to the trees. Some were as small as a fingertip, while others were as large as an umbrella.
This was a peculiar organism, not an inanimate object, and Kent was able to scan it with his system.
"Native Beast Name: Essence-Draining Flower Beast
Native Beast Rank: Low Gold Tier
Native Beast Level: Ranges from 1 to 39.
...
Abilities: 1. Essence Drain. It absorbs the essence of living beings to nourish itself. 2. Possession. Its pollen falls on other creatures, embedding into their skin to drain their essence, growing flowers from their flesh. 3. Toxic Fragrance. The flowers emit a toxic fragrance that causes confusion, loss of sanity, and even madness in creatures that inhale it."
"Dammit, there's such a thing?" Kent quickly held his breath. He had just caught a whiff of the fragrance. Fortunately, he realized it in time and only inhaled a couple of breaths, so the poison didn't affect him much.
He activated the oxygen supply function on his helmet, took a photo of the flower beast, and plucked a palm-sized Essence-Draining Flower Beast to put in a box for research.
To his surprise, the flower beast had deeply embedded itself into the tree trunk, with only the flower portion visible.
Kent couldn't help but look at the tree the flower beast had attached itself to, and his face turned pale. The tree looked like it was in agony. Its branches and leaves were yellowing, lifeless, and withered, as if it had no water left.
This only strengthened Kent's resolve to bring the flower beast back for research. He grabbed his black dagger and thrust it forcefully into the tree trunk.
After a moment, the dagger easily pried the flower beast out of the tree. Kent was shocked to see that the flower beast's roots had sharp, backward hooks.
He shuddered at the thought. If his body had accidentally been covered with pollen, the consequences would have been terrifying.
He imagined roots growing out from within his body, with sharp hooks pulling at his flesh. If someone tried to pull them out, their flesh would come off with it. It would be excruciating and brutal.
After leaving the flower forest, Kent continued his journey of exploration.
Half a day had passed, and he had traveled about a hundred miles in the forest.
During this time, he had encountered the Dragon Blood Violent Serpent, Essence-Draining Flower Beast, Three-Eyed Spiders, Double-Headed Toads, and many other bizarre native beasts.
In addition, he saw an electrical insect that didn't have wings but resembled a caterpillar. It looked unsettling, but it could release electric currents. Each time it discharged electricity, its body would be carried by the current. If the current hit the air, the insect would float up. If it hit a tree, the insect would land on it.
Kent watched in awe as the electrical insects swarmed around. There were thousands of them, moving like a massive cloud, emitting electric currents as they moved and hunted their prey.
Wherever they went, it resembled a scorched battlefield, with everything charred and ruined.
Although these electrical insects were mostly low-level monsters around level 20, they weren't individually strong, and their attack methods were rather simple.
However, Kent knew that facing such a swarm, his only option was to avoid them. Their sheer numbers were overwhelming.
Their weakness, however, lay in their numbers.
All the commands came from a single leader insect, and their collective thought process was quite unique. It could only send out one order at a time, causing the entire swarm to follow one action after another.
In simple terms, they were like insects that moved only after being "prodded." The process went like this:
When the leader insect spotted prey, it would release an electrical current that traveled about twenty meters. After that, the insect would issue another command for the swarm to move in a particular direction, then move twenty meters further, and issue another command.
This pause between commands created a delay, which gave Kent the opportunity to escape unscathed.
"The Moiling Secret Realm is one of the most unexplored Tier 3 realms," Kent muttered to himself.
He knew that many Tier 1 patrollers had already explored the Moiling Secret Realm.
But even though it had been three years since its discovery, the realm still hadn't been fully understood. There were reasons for that.
Some said it was because of the toxic insects and serpents.
Others claimed the forest was too complicated to navigate.
Some said the creatures inside were too unusual.
Others argued that it was just too dangerous.
Having explored the realm for half a day, Kent now had a preliminary understanding of the Moiling Secret Realm. He believed the explanations online were true in their own ways.
The Moiling Secret Realm was definitely a hard nut to crack in Tier 3 realms.
"Since I'm here, I might as well embrace it. I will make sure to uncover all of its secrets," Kent said, gritting his teeth in determination.
