Chapter 105 - The Great Battle

Countless tornadoes gathered from all directions, gradually merging into larger vortexes. If they were left to their own devices, they would form a massive storm, a tornado with a diameter of twenty or thirty miles.

However, the Fire Dragon was no ordinary beast. It quickly recognized that a human in the distance was preparing to unleash a powerful move that could summon a tempest. The spell was capable of creating a raging storm across the sky, but it had one significant flaw—it required a brief period of time to channel.

The Fire Dragon hesitated for only a moment before its instincts kicked in. It whipped up a violent gust of wind and soared toward Qian Zhenqian, scattering several massive tornadoes in its path.

The speed of the Fire Dragon was astonishing, seemingly able to disrupt the storm before it fully materialized, or perhaps even strike down its caster while the spell was still in the process of being invoked.

But Qian Zhenqian's two summoned beasts were no pushovers. Although the Silver Moon Wolf lagged in terms of level and rank, the Rending King was not to be underestimated.

The Silver Moon Wolf howled at the sky, releasing a barrage of massive silver moon blades from its mouth, sending them slashing toward the Fire Dragon.

Meanwhile, the Rending King—a massive red insect—charged directly at the Fire Dragon. With its slicing ability and blood armor, it was a formidable close-combat powerhouse.

The Fire Dragon encountered over a hundred silver moon blades. Each blade was as large as a wall, with sharp, cold edges that appeared deadly. However, the blades struck its tough scales, only creating a shower of sparks and leaving behind faint white marks.

Kent was shocked, astonished by the Fire Dragon's impressive defense.

Nonetheless, the moon blades did slow it down slightly, giving the Fire Dragon's opponents a fraction of a second.

The Rending King, however, was relentless. Its long, sharp legs, equipped with its slicing ability, aimed to tear through the Fire Dragon's scales.

The Rending King's slicing power was no joke—it actually succeeded in cutting through the Fire Dragon's scales, revealing the red-hot dragon flesh beneath.

With a roar, the Fire Dragon twisted and contorted its body, coiling like a serpent. It then snapped its head around and unleashed a blast of dragon fire, scorching the Rending King with its intense flames before it could react.

The Rending King screamed in agony as its massive body fell to the ground, engulfed in flames. It lacked the means to extinguish the fire, and the surrounding wind only fueled the flames, causing the fire to burn even hotter. In an instant, the Rending King lost its combat ability.

However, due to this delay, the Fire Dragon had failed to interrupt the formation of the storm.

At the heart of the vortex, Qian Zhenqian stood unfazed as an enormous storm, over a thousand meters tall, spun around him. The winds surged violently, heading straight for the Fire Dragon.

Qian Zhenqian waved his hand, summoning his two beasts to his side, and as he did, several large containers of water poured out from his spatial pouch. These were river waters, prepared in advance to douse the Fire Dragon's flames.

The flames on the Rending King were quickly extinguished, revealing its charred body, which now looked a sorry sight. The Silver Moon Wolf and the Rending King were immediately recalled into their respective beast bracelets.

Within the storm, the Fire Dragon struggled to maintain its form. It was forced to revert to its larger size—no longer a hundred meters long, but now a colossal four-hundred-meter beast. Its massive body caused the storm to falter slightly, as the winds were unable to lift it.

Yet, the storm itself held great power. Countless wind blades, wind spears, and wind swords attacked the Fire Dragon relentlessly. The storm's suppressive effects made it difficult for the Fire Dragon to unleash its fiery breath or get close to Qian Zhenqian.

"You cannot defeat me, human," the Fire Dragon roared, its voice laden with threat. "I give you ten seconds to retreat, or I will hunt you down to the ends of the earth, to the very heavens themselves."

Qian Zhenqian stood calmly in the eye of the storm, unruffled, and replied, "I don't need to consider your offer. If you're confident, then come at me with everything you've got. I want to see how much strength you really have."

"Fine. Then prepare to die!" The Fire Dragon growled, its frustration building as it forced its body to move against the storm, attempting to break free.

However, the storm's power greatly hindered its speed, and it could not escape the grip of the winds.

The Fire Dragon struggled for several minutes before finally managing to break free of the storm. It flew at full speed, distancing itself from the battle, with its focus now on retreating to safety.

In the storm, Qian Zhenqian controlled the vortex as if it were his domain. The Fire Dragon was unable to defeat him directly, so it could only wait for Qian Zhenqian to expend his energy before trying to escape.

Knowing this, the Fire Dragon continued retreating, and gradually, it was forced further and further away from the towering mountain.

Kent, watching from a hidden position, was dumbfounded by the sheer scale of the battle. The clash in the skies was truly earth-shattering.

However, he did not forget his mission. Now that the Fire Dragon had been driven away, it was time to make his move on the dragon's lair.

In fact, as soon as the battle between Qian Zhenqian and the Fire Dragon began, Kent had already sent his Shadow Beast, Ba Jie, into the Fire Dragon's lair to gather information.

"Let's go."

Kent leaped high from the foot of the mountain, easily clearing a hundred meters. He quickly made his way toward the Fire Dragon's nest, ready to strike.
