Chapter 103 - Storm Combat Technique

After the middle-aged man with an indifferent expression introduced himself, Kent couldn't help but be slightly startled. The person standing before him was none other than the famous Storm Assassin, Qian Zhenqian, from Earthstar City.

"Wow, senior, you're actually…" Kent couldn't help but take a second look and added, "No wonder you're able to act so freely in the Fire Space."

The origin of the Storm Assassin's name was far from ordinary. Qian Zhenqian had created an eighth-tier combat technique known as the Storm Combat Technique.

This technique was extremely powerful, and once mastered, it could transform the user into a storm. The true power lay in its ability to generate devastating sandstorms and tornadoes. There was even a photograph taken outside Earthstar City showing Qian Zhenqian using the Storm Combat Technique, standing in the eye of a storm that spanned 20 to 30 miles. The storm had swept up countless beast waves and carried them into the sky.

What was even more impressive was that this skill didn't rely on a beast's abilities but was instead a technique that anyone could learn through their own efforts.

Of course, according to online sources, the Storm Combat Technique was still incomplete. Only the first seven levels had been created, with two more layers still shrouded in mystery.

Qian Zhenqian was also an SS-level general, a pillar of humanity, ranked among the top 100 on the human leaderboard.

Kent had never imagined he would encounter such a legendary figure here, which made him feel a bit uneasy. He sensed an odd discomfort but managed to maintain his calm composure outwardly.

Qian Zhenqian gave him a surprised look and asked, "Kent, you came to the Fire Space alone? You certainly have some guts. But what exactly brought you here?"

Kent replied, "I need a Fire Dragon Blood Flower, and there happens to be a Fire Dragon nearby. However, I'm blocked by this river, so I'm heading upstream. Senior, could you help me cross?"

Qian Zhenqian nodded, "Seems like we're fated to meet. My target is that Fire Dragon as well. Come with me. Let's have a meal first."

Kent was amazed at the coincidence. To be able to follow such a prominent figure, his luck was through the roof. He couldn't help but feel overjoyed, "Thank you so much, Senior."

"No need to call me Senior. Just call me Uncle Qian. I'm not that old, and I used to get along well with Li Wan Feng during school," Qian Zhenqian waved it off.

The two then sat down to roast some meat.

They were roasting a native beast from the Fire Space, the Divine Strength Bull.

"Kent, eat more. If there's any leftover, you can take it with you," Qian Zhenqian said generously.

Kent eagerly nodded. This Divine Strength Bull, as the name suggested, possessed immense power. Eating it would fill one's body with energy, as though empowered by divine strength.

More importantly, this bull was an over-50-level emperor-class beast. If sold in the city, it could fetch thousands of credit points per kilogram. The one before them weighed around 100,000 kilograms.

Kent couldn't pass up this opportunity and felt a twinge of regret for not bringing Fan Qingmei along—she could have enjoyed this feast with him.

The beef sizzled on the fire, dripping golden oil. With various seasonings sprinkled on it, the aroma was irresistible, opening up Kent's appetite.

He couldn't help but feel that traveling to this world hadn't been a bad experience at all. Compared to his previous life, this one was far more enjoyable.

Though humanity was in a relatively weak position and their survival was uncertain, Kent was thriving. He had two top-tier beauties as girlfriends and could enjoy all kinds of delicious food. According to rough estimates, there were at least a billion species brought in by alternate spaces, and the mutated species from Earthstar alone numbered over 100,000.

In other words, there was a wealth of culinary treasures waiting to be discovered here. Kent had only been here for half a year, but he had already tasted many amazing dishes.

He chewed on the Divine Strength Bull meat, happily savoring the flavors.

Roasting the meat took a while, and after an hour, they were done. Kent cut off a large chunk of meat, about 5,000 pounds, enough for him to last a whole year.

"Let's go."

Qian Zhenqian waved his hand, and a gust of wind appeared under Kent's feet, lifting him into the air. Qian Zhenqian followed suit.

Kent felt the wind supporting his body as they quickly soared through the air, covering a distance of several miles in no time. It was far faster than driving.

After crossing the river, however, Qian Zhenqian didn't let Kent down immediately. Instead, he continued to fly through the air without a care.

Kent realized that, as an SS-level general, Qian Zhenqian's contracted beasts were likely at least level 70 or 80. He had no trouble hunting the Fire Dragon, so he could easily move freely in the Fire Space.

At that moment, a huge spider with a patterned body shot out a thick white web from below, attempting to capture the two flying figures.

Qian Zhenqian flicked his hand and launched two wind blades. One cut the web, while the other struck the spider, opening a huge gash in its body. Green blood mixed with toxins splashed out.

"A mere emperor-class native beast dares to attack me?" he muttered softly, continuing to soar forward.

Kent felt the continuous gusts of wind supporting him, wondering if he could use this opportunity to train. Though Qian Zhenqian only offered the first three levels of the Storm Combat Technique for sale, it was an eighth-tier technique, and even mastering the first three levels should be valuable.

"Uncle Qian, I'm really interested in your Storm Combat Technique. Could you briefly explain it to me?" Kent asked aloud.

"Sure," Qian Zhenqian replied. He gathered the wind and transmitted the information directly to Kent's ear. "The first layer is to condense wind blades, the second layer is to form wind whirlpools, and the third layer is to create wind wings."

"Wow, does that mean I can fly if I learn the third layer?" Kent exclaimed.

"That's right. But it only supports short-distance flights, within distances of tens to thousands of meters, depending on your cultivation level," Qian Zhenqian replied.

"I see. So, how many layers would we need to fly like this?" Kent asked, motioning to the wind.

"The fifth layer," Qian Zhenqian said. "But without my permission, only the first three layers are sold publicly. If you want to cultivate the remaining ones, it'll be a bit difficult."

"I understand, Uncle Qian. Please guide me further," Kent said.

Kent realized that since Qian Zhenqian wasn't closely related to him, it was probably out of goodwill that he was offering his help. It was unlikely Qian Zhenqian would sell him the complete technique. Still, he hadn't outright refused, which was a good sign.

Qian Zhenqian seemed to be testing Kent's reaction and then continued, "Actually, it's quite simple. From what I've heard, you're a Beastmaster who can help monsters evolve and even hatch beast eggs. I happen to have a rare beast egg. If you can hatch it, I might even give you the remaining six layers of the Storm Combat Technique."

Kent's interest was piqued. He hadn't expected such an offer. He nodded, "Alright, I'll give it a try."

Qian Zhenqian's beast egg had to be something extraordinary if even he thought it was rare. Kent was eager to find out what kind of beast it was.
