Mei POV
After leaving the company building, I got a call from xia that she was close to the company.
I saw Xia standing at the side of the road, so I packed my car not too far from her. I came down from my car and had a little chat with her, I then let her into the car. I was just about to enter my car when I saw a car approaching in high speed from a distance, I took to my hills and pulled Xia out but I couldn't get her out before the car came colliding with my car with Xia leg still in it. The force of the collision caused a sudden rush of wind which pushed me backward, making me hit my head on a wooden table set outside the coffee shop.
When the ambulance arrived, Xia was already unconscious, I had a little injury on my head.
"Excuse me miss, you have sign the files containing all the medical terms before proceeding to the patient". A nurse told me before handing me the files. I signed them before handing them to the receptionist.
"Here you go". I was about to sit down when a nurse came to me.
"Miss, you need to clean your injury". She said.
"Ohh". I touched the injury on my head only to find it bleeding a bit.
"Thank you". She stood up after bandaging my head.
I waited up to 30mins before I was allowed inside Xia room.
"You'll be fine". I bite my lips feeling confused and sadness.
Xia is the only one I have who is on my side.
I really think this accident as something to do with me.
What if Jung starts looking for me.
"Snap out of it, you're only getting married because I the child". I might get tired and decide to dispose this marriage or Jung might be the one to do that. I ended up drifting off to sleep.
Jung POV
My thoughts were disorganized from the very moment I saw the car that belong to Mei smashed by another car. Telling from the position of Mei car, I could tell this whole thing was planned and wasn't an incident.
We got to the hospital and the first thing I did was ask for the room number. I got to the door but hesitated, because this was all my fault. If I had stop her from living the company none of this would have happened.
I opened the door slowly with my trembling hands.
"Arugh". I held my head, crouch down before sighing in relief. The woman on the bed was not Mei.
Had it been Mei, knowing she's just in her first trimester of pregnancy and that the a slight kick or hard fall was surely enough to cause a miscarriage.
I stood up and kept staringat Mei.
"Jung". Xiang called my name quietly.
"Come out for a second". I walked out of the room.
"Xiang I'm sorry for putting you through all this". I'm really glad it wasn't Mei who got hurt.
"You shouldn't show so much affection to Mei publicly". I get what he meant by publicly, because I got alot of enemies.
"I'll handle that on my own". I didn't say much.
"Okay then, take my car I'll hail a cab". He smiled, then left.
"Jung". Mei tugged my Shirt from behind.
"I'm sorry....hic...sniffle". I know she'll blame herself for what happened.
"If only I hadn't seen Xia or if I hadn't stormed out the company, or made a big deal about you with another woman". She sobbed continuously.
"Don't say that, if you had not reacted that way, I would have thought you didn't feel a thing for me and also, she forced her self onto me knowing fully well I don't hit women".
"Really, I just felt left out again". She wipped the tear off her face.
"If I had listen to you, this wouldn't have happened to Xia". I saw guilt crush her slowly.
"She was already there, had you not come there, she might have died". I lied, I didn't want to but I had no choice.
"Come sit, the doctor said you should avoid too much stress, that it will affect yours and the babys health". She sat down on the couch in Xia room.
