Chapter 3 - Might have gone far away

'We haven't even summoned a spirit yet, what are you scared for?' hissed Archi from the pain of her tightly clenched fingers.

'I I-know b-but if there's really a spirit here….' She let it out in one breath 'I really hope it may help us finding Shaina, if it can't tell us … may it protect our friend till we finally find her'.

The room has gone quiet again.

At the same moment from the jungle on the opposite mountain,

A girl gazes at the little blobs of lights, clustered together to form a big one dot….

The strikingly beautiful campus of the Pinewood International Boarding School.

Even the treacherous rain and hail couldn't sway her from her line of sight. Her pale pink dress is stained with mud and dried leaves, her hair is all tangled up with twigs, her dress torn at edges and soaking wet.

Suddenly some few voices were heard in between the thunderstorm.

The girl stared deeply at the light of a second more, her lips turning up in a smirk

'Wait for me darling... I'm already here'.

With this she turns to her back and fall from the edge into the dark depths below.

Hearing the roaring thunder the specky boy tightly secures his window and turns on the blinds.

In another dark room, an inscrutable figure sits at the windowsill and amidst the raindrops falling on the glass, stares at the wild mountains opposite.

His mind unconsciously thinking about…

Someone who might have gone

Far away.

The stormy night has passed. Sun is shining brightly in the morning. The atmosphere is filled with calming yet cold earthly fragrance.

The roofs are still dripping droplets from their edges, a gentle reminder of chaotic aftermath. Wet leaves and broken twigs are scattered everywhere on the ground.

The maintenance workers have already started to clean up the mess early in the morning.

Mita, Krissy and Archi were still asleep when suddenly someone knocked on the door. Having dealt with a scare, the girls were still huddling together in the makeshift tent. Unable to take in the noise, drowsy Mita got up and opened the door.

A petite girl with big black round glasses greeted her sight. She was still in her pajamas, her head and upper body covered with a dark-coloured shawl.

Without wasting her time on some formal greeting, the girl looked bothways in a habitual manner. Not finding anyone in the long corridors she straight away got onto the business.

Gently bending slightly forward she uttered in a secretive tone;

.

.

'There has been some news….'
