'What is it …did you find some-' disregarding the secrecy of the matter, Mita squealed in a high-pitched voice. Her sleepiness was gone.
The short girl in elusive getup in front was Gia Shyam; the most well-informed person in the whole school.
'Ssh…' Gia covers Mita's mouth with her hand and continues,
'somebody saw police car inside school premises in the middle of the night.. like very early morning and there was an ambulance too…'
'You mean…. Something happened last night?' Mita asked skeptically.
Looking at her expression Gia had an impulse to just forget about the matter and walk away. There are only two things she dreads the most;
i) to be lied about a scoop, ii) to explain matters to slow-witted.
Moving Mita aside with one arm on her shoulder, Archi asked, 'are they still here?'
'No, the went away soon after they arrived'
'Has anyone seen who-'
'No, but the ambulance dropped someone at the school clinic, I did go to… you know… look around but the clinic's closed they said, to go to dorm's infirmary for the time being, if it's not life threatening'.
No one questioned Gia how could she just got to school clinic which is a whole another building in the middle of the night to look around for the scoop… but then again it is what she did, what she was best at…
To know almost everything what goes inside Pinewood International.
Gia didn't stay any longer. It was 7 already, the breakfast was usually served at 8 and school started at 9 but today was the weekend so no morning jog session and they had time till 9 to get ready for breakfast.
Watching Gia leave quietly, Archi pulled Mita back inside and shut the entrance.
'Do you think its her…?' Mita spoke after sometime.
'Well… it must be... She's the last person to disappear.'
'But no one knows if it's her… or if it is then is she okay or…'
'Then we shall confirm it ourselves', Krissy asserts herself and ends the conversation. She has already cleared up the room and put all the pillows and cushions back to their place.
Krissy was just like that, quiet and mysterious, cautious yet decisive when needed. Actually no one has ever figured out what kind of person she truly was. She was the oldest resident of Pinewood among them. What she has lived and known of the area is what some might've never heard about or even imagined. A classic loner if one must say, Krissy didn't talk much and rather keep it to herself at all times but it was Archi and Mita's diligence and pestering which finally broke through her walls and let them slid inside and paved the way for others to enter.
But there was another thing about Krissy,
She was a true loyal; the type to ride and die together.
And since she had considered all the three girls her friends, she'd to anything to protect them.
