Chapter 25 - The Day I Almost Died (Final)

That kiss didn't last long, but it was intense enough to convince Aurëalis that I was being sincere.

…Muffled sounds of the kiss…

Huffhuffhuff… D-Damn… What am I thinking? — I murmured, completely embarrassed and trying to make sense of what had just happened.

— W-What… are you… — Aurëalis stammered, not finishing her sentence as her face began to blush, with a reddish hue appearing through her white, metallic scales.

Her tail, previously still and rigid, now swayed slightly, almost involuntarily. Aurëalis seemed lost in a trance, staring into the void with bright eyes, which only made me more concerned.

— D-Damn… Aurëalis? Are you okay? — I asked, alarmed by her apparent immobility.

But She didn't respond, and just remained in that position as if paralyzed by something I couldn't understand.

— Aurëalis?! HEY! ARE YOU OKAY? — I insisted, this time more desperately.

Tsk… Did I do something wrong? Did I hurt her? — I thought, feeling my heart race.

— If her parents find out I was responsible for her disappearance and, on top of that, hurt her, I'm definitely dead — I thought, trying to find a way to snap her out of that state.

As I tried to process everything, I felt something warm wrap around my tail. When I looked back, I realized it was Aurëalis's tail, now firmly entwined with mine, as if marking territory. Before I could react, she made a swift movement and flipped me over, switching our positions.

Now, I was lying on the ground, pinned under her paws, with her tail completely wrapped around mine. Her weight on my body made any movement impossible. Her gaze, previously filled with anger, now carried something entirely different: a mixture of tenderness and… desire?

— A-Aurëalis? W-What are you doing? — I asked, my voice trembling, as the atmosphere around us grew uncomfortably warm.

She didn't say anything. She just leaned in slowly until her snout was close to my neck. Then, she began sliding her nostrils along it as if capturing my scent.

Agh… No… This… T-This can't be… — I thought, realizing what was happening.

At that moment, I understood that Aurëalis had begun the courtship process, something that, among us beings of higher dimensions, was the first step toward spiritual reproduction. As members of divine species, although we could do so, we didn't need physical contact to produce offspring. Instead, our souls or energies would merge to create a new one, which would mature within the female until birth.

The problem was that, as she was a Light Dragon and I a Void Dragon, our species had cultural, and perhaps even physical differences that made this type of connection challenging. Yet, it seemed that Aurëalis knew exactly what she was doing.

— N-No… I can't let this happen now! — I thought, fighting against the paralyzing aphrodisiac effect of the moment.

— N-NO, AURËALIS! WE CAN'T DO THIS! — I shouted, gathering all the strength I had left to break free.

With superhuman effort, I managed to untangle her tail and crawl backward, but before I could completely escape, I felt her tail pull me back.

— W-What?! W-Why?! — she asked, her voice laden with sadness.

Agh… B-Because, Aurëalis! You know what happens if we go through with this! We'd have offspring, and that would bring problems for you! I don't want to cause that! — I explained, with my voice firm.

— Problems? B-But… — she began, visibly hurt.

— Aurëalis, listen. We'll have time for this in the future, but now isn't the right moment. I promise, in the future, I'll give you as many offspring as you want. Just… trust me and wait a little longer. Please. — I said, holding her paws, trying to calm her.

She hesitated. For a few seconds, it seemed like she was struggling with herself, but in the end, she relented.

Humpf… Fine… — she replied, puffing her cheeks, clearly dissatisfied.

— Hahaha… Thank you so much, Aurëalis. — I said, gently stroking her head.

Then, she made an unexpected request.

Humpf… If I can't do this now, at least… hug me. — she asked, her eyes shimmering in an almost irresistible way.

— H-Hug?… Sigh… O-Okay, fine by me… — I replied, unsure of what to expect.

We moved closer, and then I hugged her. We stayed like that for a few minutes. Despite my initial reluctance, the hug was surprisingly comforting. For the first time, I felt that being in someone's arms wasn't a bother but a relief.

But then, she whispered something in my ear.

— I'm sorry for what I'm about to do now, but it's necessary to make sure what happened with Cristine never happens again. — she said in a tone that made my heart race.

Before I could react, Aurëalis opened her mouth and sank two small teeth into my neck. These teeth, unique to females, injected a substance directly into her partner's soul, creating a permanent and eternal spiritual bond.

At first, I felt a sharp pain, but soon the sensation turned into something warm and aphrodisiacal, coursing through my body and soul. When she finally finished, my vision darkened, and I completely lost my strength, fainting shortly after. The last thing I saw was Aurëalis looking at me with a mix of affection and possessiveness as she caressed my head. After that, everything went dark.

After a few seconds, I woke up with a start.

Agh… Huff… Huff… Where am I? A-Aurëalis?! — I exclaimed, looking around, startled.

To my surprise, I was lying in my room.

— What? I'm in my room? What… happened? — I murmured, trying to understand the situation.

— Was all that… just a dream? — I thought, feeling a relief that almost made me laugh.

— Hahaha...Sigh… That's good. If it was just a dream, it means I don't have any problems to deal with, huh? — I said, throwing myself back on the bed and staring at the ceiling, ready to go back to sleep.

However, before I could fall back asleep, as I tried to get as comfortable as possible in bed, I felt pain in my neck.

Agh… M-my neck… damn it… I guess I need to stretch, huh? — I said, not realizing that, in reality, all of it had been real, and that bite would still cause me plenty of trouble.
