— Your scent... it's amazing... — she said in a low, seductive voice, while she continued exploring my neck with an almost deliberate slowness.
— A-Aurëalis... what are you doing? — I asked, my voice trembling, a mix of surprise and nervousness growing inside me.
— Why is your tail wrapped around mine? And... WHY ARE YOU LYING ON TOP OF ME? — I added, confusion taking over me.
— Hmm... because I can? — she replied with a smile I could feel more than see, as she whispered into my ear. The heat of her words made my scales tingle.
At that moment, a shiver ran down my spine, and my face blushed intensely, just like in other moments when she seemed to enjoy teasing me.
— Aurëalis... — I murmured, trying to muster the strength to say something, anything. But, as always, she was quicker, interrupting me by pressing her paw against my mouth.
— Shhh... stay quiet, love. Let me enjoy your scent a little more... — she whispered, her voice soft and teasing. Now, I could feel small licks on my neck, which made my mind waver between anger and a confusing sense of acceptance.
— Gh... where did you get that "love" from? — I asked, my voice muffled by her paw. But she didn't answer. She just continued with her teasing, ignoring my words.
What bothered me the most was that, even against my will, there was something in me that enjoyed it. Maybe it was my male instincts reacting to the presence of such an incredible female as Aurëalis. Or maybe it was something deeper, more visceral. But I couldn't let myself give in. I couldn't yield. What if it was just a game for her? A way to manipulate me? With a strength I didn't even know I had, I broke out of that trance and stood up, even with her still on my back.
— U-Uh... — Aurëalis said, clearly surprised by my sudden action, though she reacted quickly. She wrapped her arms around my neck, laughing.
— What are you doing? — she asked, now with an amused tone.
— If you won't listen to me nicely, then you'll listen the hard way! — I said, starting to spin and jump, trying to shake her off. But, to my frustration, this seemed to have the opposite effect.
— K-Kyrion? Hahaha! What are you... hahaha! Trying to do? — she laughed, seemingly more entertained by my clumsy attempts than by the act of teasing me itself.
After a few minutes, my energy was completely drained. With a heavy sigh, I collapsed onto the ground.
— Huff... huff... I... failed... miserably... — I admitted, feeling my body exhausted.
— Hahaha! That was so much fun! Seriously, what got into you? And that burst of energy... I never imagined seeing you like this! — she said, still laughing, as she continued lying on top of me, hugging me as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
— I need... to rest... — I murmured, closing my eyes.
— You do? So do I... — she replied, resting her head on mine, using it as a pillow.
For a while, we stayed like that, in silence.
— Sigh... Every time I'm with you, I have so much fun... — she said, her voice now softer, almost affectionate.
— You have fun? Ha... I only like sleeping. What's so fun about that? — I replied, one eye closed and the other looking up, trying to ignore the heat rising to my face.
— That's exactly why. I love seeing your reactions when I tease you and you're forced to wake up... — she whispered into my ear again, and I felt my heart race once more.
— Agh... — I murmured, looking away, unable to stop the heat that rose to my cheeks.
— I couldn't wait to see you again today, you know? — she asked, but I remained silent.
— Not going to answer, huh? Hmm... then I guess I can give you another bite like last time, and you won't mind, right? — she said, leaning toward my neck again. Her words made me freeze.
— A-Another bite? W-What do you mean? — I asked, now truly frightened, as she licked the same spot where I had felt pain the previous night.
— You don't remember what happened yesterday? — she asked, her voice laced with teasing.
— Yesterday?... agh... No... that couldn't have been real... — I replied, trying to convince myself it was just a dream.
— Oh, it was very real. And one of the best days of my life, hehe... — she said, whispering into my ear again, her voice growing increasingly provocative.
My mind, which had worked so hard to deny that memory, could no longer uphold the lie.
— But... if that was real... how did I get back to my room yesterday? And why did I pass out? — I asked, trying to find holes in her story.
— Hmm... you really don't remember how you were after I bit you? Hahaha! — she laughed, clearly amused.
— You were all groggy, mumbling that you needed to go to bed. Even though it was still daylight, I helped you get back to your quarters, transform into your human form, and tucked you in. I stayed for a few minutes to make sure you were okay before leaving... though, honestly, I wanted to stay and sleep by your side. Your room smells like you... it's so nice there... — she said, rubbing her nose against my neck again.
— It... smells nice? — I murmured, deeply flushed, unable to form a coherent response.
— But still, why did you bite me? And why did I fall asleep? You know, last night I felt horrible pain. I had to come here in the middle of the night to be able to sleep! — I said, trying to sound firmer despite the lingering heat I felt.
— You... came here in the middle of the night? AND YOU DIDN'T CALL ME? YOU KNOW I LOVE SPENDING TIME WITH YOU... — she exclaimed, pulling my cheeks with surprising force.
— AAGH! AURËALIS? MY CHEEKS! PLEASE, STOP! — I begged, feeling as if she were about to tear my scales off with her paws.
— Tsk... Humpf! Next time you do something like this, make sure to call me, understood? — she said, puffing her cheeks in irritation.
— Agh... O-OK, AURËALIS, I GET IT... NOW JUST ANSWER ME, AND LET ME GO... ouch, ouch — I said, embarrassed.
— Humpf... Fine. I bit you so that no other female would try to steal you from me. You're mine and that's it, understood? You passed out because the first time is like that, but it won't happen again. The pain only happens once after the first bite, even if there are others later — she said, irritated and unwilling to go into further detail.
— What? I'm yours? Other females stealing me? And... you're going to bite me again? — I asked, growing increasingly confused.
— Tsk... KYRION, enough with the questions! Just know that everything I've done so far has been to ensure that what happened with Cristine never happens again, GOT IT? After that, we stayed silent for a while, but I could still feel Aurëalis's gaze on me, as well as her tail's grip on mine tightening. After some time, I broke the silence.
— Aurëalis... but... if all of this was real, does that mean... you want me as... your husband? — I asked, hesitant and fearful of her response.
— Hm?... I didn't just choose you as my husband. Know that you are already mine, regardless of what you say... — she replied, her voice dropping to a whisper as she spoke in my ear.
— Got it? — She whispered in my ear.
— Agh... B-but... your father? Your mother? I mean, none of them will be happy about this... And I don't want to cause you trouble. Maybe you should reconsider before it's too late... — I said, concerned.
— Hm? Hehe... How cute. It seems like someone is worried about me, huh? — she said, flashing a broad smile as she stroked my snout.
— You really don't care about what they'll think? — I asked, still uneasy.
— I couldn't care less. If my father and mother want to strip me of my right to the throne or even stop considering me their daughter because of my choice, it doesn't matter. What I want is to be with you, Kyrion, forever — she said, looking at me with bright eyes and a slightly flushed expression.
At that moment, I was left speechless. For the first time, I felt the barrier I had built over the years to protect myself from emotional frustrations begin to crumble. And, to my surprise, I wanted to help bring it down. I felt that, for Aurëalis, it was worth it.
— Besides, even if they try to separate us, who's going to stop me from staying by your side? Hm? Not even you could push me away from you, hehehe — she said, her tone teasing.
But before I could react or respond, I felt a presence approaching from behind us. It was something familiar, but now much closer, and as I tried to move, a voice interrupted us.
— Miss Aurëalis? We need to talk about this — the voice said.
Aurëalis and I immediately turned toward the source of the sound, and there he was: the person responsible for the strange sensation I had felt earlier. A boy around our age, with an imposing posture, fair skin, medium-length blond hair, dressed formally. His light blue slit-shaped eyes stared at us with a mix of seriousness and disdain.
