They finished their food and they had a great time. The sadness was changed with happiness.
Drake couldn"t understand but suddenly, he felt like he wanted to protect the woman.
He felt earlier like he wanted to follow the man and punch him in his eyes because of hurting Harmony.
Drake heard every word that he said and he had a thick face to say everything that he uttered earlier.
How dare he confront Harmony dating someone else when he did it himself after dumping the woman and leaving her all alone in the coffee shop?
Harmony deserved more than that kind of treatment.
And, he hated the fact that Harmony was still in love with the guy despite everything that he had done to her.
"Do you feel better now?" He couldn"t help but ask.
She bit her lower lip and he could see the tears that were formed in the corner of her eyes.
"Hey, if you want to tell me something, it"s okay. Sometimes, it"s okay to let everything out to a stranger. A stranger would just listen and make no judgement," he said and smiled at her.
She smiled. It was forced because he could see the sadness in her eyes.
"Who"s that guy?" He continued.
"T— that"s Paul. He didn"t look familiar to you?" She asked.
"No, who is he?" He lied.
"He is my boyfriend. The one that you heard speaking at the cafe. The day that you propose to me," she said.
She took a deep breath.
Drake could imagine the load that she was carrying."And the woman?"
"That"s the woman he chose over me," she said in a bitter tone.
"I see," he said while nodding. "Forget about him. You got me," he suddenly uttered. It was too late for him to realize what he had said.
Her eyes were looking at him while one of her eyebrows lifted.
"What do you mean?"
"You got me. Make the most out of this relationship. Like I told you. We can get even to him if you want. He will die in jealousy," he said and he was hoping that she would be convinced of what he said.He wanted to get mad at himself because of the thoughts that were running inside his head and now of what he said to Harmony.
It looked like he was getting so fond of the woman.
"Yeah. I think I should agree on that part. Can you pick me up again in school tomorrow? Then, let"s have coffee at the coffee shop where we first met?" She said in a serious face.
"What are you planning?"
"Well, nothing. I just wanted to make them see that I am not doing anything. I wanted him to see that I am perfectly fine without him. No matter what he says," she said in a firm voice.Drake could see the pain and the anger in her eyes.
He shrugged his shoulders.
"That sounds like a good plan," he said and smiled at her.
Harmony felt like the weight of the world was all on her shoulders when he saw Paul.
She couldn"t believe that he would be seeing him at the coffee shop where Drake brought her. Why of all people? It really has to be Paul that she had seen.
She was unable to control the emotions that stirred up inside her.
She felt like she was exploding. She was surprised to see him but at the same time, she felt like her heart was torn apart as she saw the woman who had her arms wrapped in his arms.
Harmony was not that stupid and naive not to know what they have.
It seemed Paul had cheated on her. He fell out of love because he had seen someone else.
And there, she felt like her heart was being squeezed and she could hardly breath.
She was surprised when Paul confronted her about Drake. He had the audacity to tell her that she was already in a relationship and that she had quickly moved on over their breakup when in fact he was the one who was already dating someone else.
She wanted to say that everything was just business with her and Drake but she kept silent.
Paul wouldn"t understand no matter what she would say. His ears were closed for her explanation and in the first place why should she explain herself?
He was the one who asked to end their relationship and she believed that she didn"t owe him any explanation.
Harmony couldn"t help but feel so disappointed at Paul. It seemed that he was thinking that she would be crying over him for a long time.
Deep inside her, she was thankful that Drake was there. She wouldn"t know what she would be doing if the man was not on her side.
"Thank you, Drake. I owe you one," she said and smiled as she got out of his car. The man dropped her again at their house.
He smiled at him and she felt like her heart skipped a beat.
"It"s okay. I just hope that you won't cry again over that man. He doesn"t deserve your precious tears," he said with a serious face.
"Silly, of course, I won"t! Just make sure that you will show up tomorrow,okay? I will make him see what he wants to see," she said, full of anger.
"I like that spirit girl," Drake uttered which made both of them laugh.
"Who"s with you, Harmony?" Catalina asked Harmony while they were laughing.
"Oh," she said and then she looked at Drake. She didn"t know if she would be telling his mother that it was Drake who was with her.
"It"s okay. You can tell her. There shouldn"t be any problem," Drake said and then he nodded as if he could read what was running inside her head.
Harmony shrugged her shoulders."If you say so, then."
"It"s Drake, Mom," she shouted to her mother who was at the window of their house.
