Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Su Zu, who was walking towards the mountain behind the village, saw many uncles and aunts smiling and greeting everyone along the way. When she reached the foot of the mountain and looked up at the large mountain in front of her, Su Zu saw that there were more than ten villagers looking for wild vegetables and cutting pig grass at the foot of the mountain. She hurriedly walked over to greet them before walking deeper into the mountain to find herbs and wild bamboo shoots that her original body had dug up to give to the villagers a long time ago.

After looking at the villagers in the distance, she saw that they were no longer paying attention to her, so Su Zu used her Light Body Technique to go deep into the forest to dig up as many bamboo shoots as possible before starting to search for herbs. However, she was able to use her Light Body Technique to find good herbs without much difficulty before dinner. With her small body's agility, Su Zu could already see a bamboo forest not far away.

When she reached the bamboo forest, Su Zu bent down to find the wild bamboo shoots that were growing everywhere. She smiled faintly and started digging the bamboo shoots with the dagger that her grandparents had given her to protect herself. With Su Zu's spiritual energy, it didn't take her long to get almost a basket full of bamboo shoots that she carried on her back. Of course, these things wouldn't cause her any trouble at all. After looking around and not seeing any herbs growing here, Su Zu slung the basket over her shoulder and looked towards the path that was higher up the mountain. It didn't take long for her to decide to go deeper into the mountain than her original body had ever gone. With her advanced lightness skill, Su Zu took less than two ke to almost reach the top of the mountain. She saw that this place was a tropical forest with large trees covering the entire area. Su Zu thought that there must be some good herbs growing here, so she walked around looking for herbs that she could remember what they were like in the previous world to bring to the doctor and nourish her grandparents' bodies.

Walking around the large forest, Su Zu found as many herbs as she thought. Su Zu did not hesitate to pack the herbs into her backpack until it was almost full. When she saw that there was almost no more space to collect herbs, Su Zu, who was looking for ginseng, could only give up since there was not even a trace of the ginseng she wanted around here. She looked up at the sky and saw that it was already past noon. On her way back, she still had to act like a child carrying a heavy bag. After thinking about it, if she stayed any longer, her grandparents would be very worried about her. Su Zu could only wait until tomorrow and then she would go deeper into the mountain to find herbs. After all, today she had already brought back quite a few bamboo shoots to give to the villagers and grandpa, as well as some good herbs for the doctor. This should be enough for her first day of climbing the mountain.

Su Zu walked down the mountain slowly. She was afraid that people would suspect how a small child like her could carry such heavy bamboo shoots. Su Zu had to pretend to sweat profusely and sit down to rest from time to time so as not to be suspected. She could only accept that she would wait until she was a bit older so that she would not have to act weak anymore.

Along the way, when she met the aunt who used to help her, Su Su would stop and give them one or two bamboo shoots each. By the time she got back to her grandfather's house, there were four or five bamboo shoots left, which was quite a lot.

" Grandpa, Grandma, I'm back," Su Su said before the small figure entered the house.

" Ah, it's good that you've returned safely. Come on, let Grandpa and Grandma see what you got today."

" I got quite a few bamboo shoots, Your Majesty. The rest are from Grandpa and Grandma. How can we cook delicious food for me? As for the many bamboo shoots I brought, I gave one or two to my uncles and aunts along the way, until this is all that's left."

" Good girl Su Su, you did a good job of giving back to the villagers. Grandpa thanks you on behalf of the villagers. What are these plants you picked ?"

" Oh, these are herbs that I collected for Grandfather Doctor. I can remember that these plants are the herbs that I saw Grandfather Doctor drying at home."

" Hmm, you have a good memory. Then, take the herbs to your grandfather before dinner. Grandpa and Grandma will cook some delicious bamboo shoots for you to eat to regain your energy."

" Yes, Grandpa, Grandma. I'll be back soon."

Su Su separated the herbs and held them all in a loose embrace so that the herbs would not be pressed down too much. She didn't walk long before she arrived at the front door of the village's wise old man.

" Grandfather Doctor, I, Su Su, have brought you some herbs." She hurriedly called out to the doctor to let her into his house.

" Oh, it's Su Su. Come in first. This child brought a lot of things. Let Grandpa see if they're real herbs."

" Here you go, Grandfather Doctor." Su Su handed the herbs in her arms to the doctor.

The village doctor led Su Su to sit on a bench under a tree in front of the house. He sat down and sorted out the herbs that Su Su had collected, nodding in satisfaction. He didn't think that Little Miss Su Su would know such good herbs. After examining everything, the doctor looked up and smiled at Su Su.

" Miss Su Su is really good at knowing these good herbs. Should Grandpa pay for the herbs for you?"

" I won't accept it, Grandfather Doctor. I already told you that I would find something good to repay you for helping me heal when I left the Zhou family. Do you think I'm joking?"

" Oh, I thought you were joking. Come on, don't be mad at me. Then I would like to thank you for finding some herbs for me. When you find some herbs again, should I pay you a little bit of money?"

" It's not good. If I want to sell it, wouldn't it be better if I took it to the city to sell? I already told Grandpa that I brought it for him. Since I often go up the mountain myself, if I happen to see it again, I will bring it to Grandpa again." Su Su shook her head slightly, refusing to accept the money from Grandpa, the doctor who had been treating her and giving her medicine until she recovered.

" Okay, okay. Grandpa won't force you anymore. You can do whatever makes you feel comfortable, Miss Su Su. Grandpa thanks you again for these herbs. It's almost dinner time. Hurry back before your grandparents get worried."

" Then I'll go home first, Your Majesty." Su Su bowed to the old doctor cutely.

The old doctor could only stroke his beard and smile as he accepted the little Su Su's salute. He nodded and sent her out of the house, happy to see that this cute little girl had become much stronger. It was worth the effort he had been sending to the village chief frequently for the past three months.

Su Zu walked with a smile, satisfied that the village headman did not stubbornly give her any more money. Since these herbs were just common herbs for her, if she really wanted money, she would have searched for more expensive herbs to sell in the city long ago. After all, she would go up the mountain every day to practice swordplay and find expensive herbs to save money anyway. If she saw common herbs, she would bring them to the village headman. It would not be too late. Su Zu walked and thought for a while, and she arrived at the village headman's house. Su Zu cheerfully told them that she had returned with her small voice.

The two old men who had finished cooking quickly called Su Su to come in and eat. Because she had not brought any food with her when she went up the mountain for lunch, they were afraid that the little girl would be very hungry. The two of them helped each other quickly and finished several dishes in no time. Su Su, who was starting to get hungry, did not disobey her grandparents. She obediently walked over and sat down at the dining table. The three of them ate their food with warm smiles at each other.
