As soon as Diana admitted it was a draw, Chase flopped down onto her lap with an exaggerated groan. She blinked at him, her drunken haze evident as she asked, "Now what's next?"
Her question was met with deadpan stares. Alice groaned. "Next? Are you serious?"
Diana, noticing their incredulous expressions, perked up. "Hmph! I know! As Queen of this apartment—"
Chase quickly clamped a hand over her mouth to stop her from continuing. Queen of the apartment? Technically, she wasn't wrong, but this wasn't the time to inflate her ego. Diana, however, was undeterred. She bit his hand without hesitation, making him pull it back with a glare—not angry, but something that promised retaliation.
Without missing a beat, Chase tilted his head up and bit her ear gently in revenge.
"Chase!" Diana yelped, her face turning crimson as she swatted at him. "They're right there!"
