Chase lazily held the ball, glancing at his teammates. "So, how do you play?"
His teammates' heads snapped toward him.
Tessa, a junior standing at 5'6, stared at him incredulously. "Are you trying to lose your money or something? You put stakes on a game you don't even know how to play?"
Chase gave a lazy nod. "I don't really play sports."
Sienna, a senior at 5'9, laughed lightly. "So, where's all this confidence coming from? I figured with your height, you've definitely played volleyball or basketball."
Chase shook his head, sighing. "Never played either. But I am going to win—once you tell me how to play."
Tessa groaned, clearly losing hope. "They've got Alice, the team captain, and the crazy-athletic new girl. You seriously think you can pull this off?"
