I know everyone was shocked because as they say, no one has ever stood up against Liam before and I'm glad to be the first person to do that.
I mean who does he think he is? Just because he's rich and handsome doesn't mean he should be an asshole.
"Zara!" a voice snapped me out of thoughts. I looked around till my eyes landed on the principal who was standing at the door.
"To my office," she said and walked out without a backward glance.
I sighed and got up from my seat, ignoring all the whispering that was going on.
It was obvious to why I was being called at the principal's office but I didn't even care.
"Zara....."
"I'll be fine," I cut Kaylee off, reassuring her with a slight smile.
I called out and went straight to the principal's office to see Liam and Beatrice already there. Liam was wearing a new T-shirt now and he was looking at hot as hell. The white shirt hugged every bit of his upper muscles perfectly and I fought the urge to touch him.
" Done staring," His cold voice snapped me out of it.
I just scoffed and rolled my eyes to cover up the fact that I had been caught red-handed.
"You called for me," I said, averting my gaze to the principal.
"Yes, I called you for a reason,.as we all know," she said and I scoffed inwardly.
As if someone will just be called for nothing.
"You know this school is the face of anti-bullying."
I wanted to laugh hard at those words because it was so ironic.
"And we have several CCTV footages of you bullying and harassing Liam and Beatrice, which is against the rules."
I almost laughed at her statement. I mean take a good look at Liam, does he look like he can be bullied.
"And given how soft he is, I can tell you're giving him a hard time."
I immediately burst out laughing because I couldn't hold it anymore.
Like what did they see in the footages? Was Liam bowing to me and begging me or what?
"What's so funny?" The principal asked, clearly annoyed.
"I…I so sorry. I didn't mean to but do you know how hilarious you sound right now? I mean take a good look at him," I said turning to Liam. "Does it look like I can bully him?"
"Zara!" The principal yelled. I stopped laughing even though one could tell from my face that laughter could burst out and moment.
"Because of your actions, we'll also have to take immediate actions. I'll call your dad and let him know you're being expelled."
I saw a triumphant smile on Liam's and Beatrice's lips as the principal said this.
I can bet you a thousand bucks that they did not, and, I repeat did not anticipate my next move.
"Hold on! Hold on a minute," I said, grabbing the telephone from the principal's ear and putting it back now.
"Before you call my parents or my dad…whatever, don't you think I deserve a chance to speak? Come on even criminals are given chances to talk in the interrogation room."
"This is not an interrogation room," Beatrice said and I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"Then it's a court room, since the judge has already passed her verdict."
I smiled and turned to the principal.
"But your honor," I said, sarcastically. "Everyone deserves to talk in a courtroom right? So why did you listen to just one side of the story?"
The principal's face as soon as she heard this.
"Don't I get a chance to speak?"
"Go on….say whatever you want to say," she said and I smiled, mouthing a thank you.
"Give me a second," I winked before walking out.
I quickly walked to my locker to get what I needed and walked back to the office.
"Zara you think this is joke right?"
The principal scoffed as I walked in. I placed a blue file on her table, earning a questioning gaze from the whole room.
"What is this?" She asked, irritated.
"This is the list of all the students that left this school. Mostly girls," I shrugged.
"And what has this got to do with what is going on?" Liam spoke for the first since we entered the office.
"I'm glad you asked. You see before I came to this school, I had heard a lot about the school from my awesome best friend Kaylee."
Beatrice rolled her eyes but I cared less.
"I found out that several students were leaving the school which was odd because this is one of the best schools in the country."
"What are you trying to prove?" Liam asked again.
"I'm glad you asked, again," I flashed a fake smile. "So I needed to find the reason behind students leaving the school and as we all know, my dad is a lawyer so I have a bit of the blood in me. I did my research and it turns out they all left because of one thing..." I paused, trying to make it more dramatic.
"Bullies," I said when I built the enough anticipation.
"Bullies?" They all asked, confused.
"Yes bullies…. One girl even attempted suicide. What's her name again?" I tapped my chin as if I was as thinking hard.
"Ahah!!!!!! Rose….I think Beatrice here is knows who I'm talking about. Rosy the loser, wasn't that the nickname you gave her?"
I watched with joy as her face turned pale.
"She doesn't know what you're talking about," Liam answered, coming between Beatrice and me. In other words he was shielding her away from me.
"And I have a long list of other people who have been bullied by Liam or Beatrice or both of them just because they attend this school on scholarship. You two think because your parents are trustees of the school and they sign huge check so the school belongs to you."
"Zara….you should know your limits, know where you're standing and don't make baseless accusations," The principal said in a threatening voice but I didn't care because I was going to put her in her place.
"Baseless accusations?" I chuckled. "The proof is on your table Miss Principal. Why don't you check the file? You'll find lots of evidences there. From the bullying, to the corruption, to bribery and to the teachers who are having sexual relations with students. The list goes on."
I could see that the principal was trying to hide her fear and that's just what I wanted.
"I also know something…..something that could ruin your life and your whole career. Do you want me to say it?"
"Enough!" The principal yelled, making me frown at her piercing voice. "Don't you say other word," she said her voice shaking slightly. I zipped my lips and threw the imaginary keys away.
"You….you are not going to say one more word," she said and I nodded.
"So she's going to leave here unpunished?" Beatrice said making me roll my eyes.
"You made an innocent girl attempt suicide yet you're here," I said, feeling a bit angry.
"Everyone keep quiet. We're not going to escalate this anymore. Zara apologize to them."
Is she kidding me? Someone please tell me this is a joke.
"Me? Apologize to them? Not happening."
"I just hate your arrogance," I heard Liam say.
"Then get used to it," I rolled my eyes and walked out without being dismissed. And before you tell me I forgot the evidence, let me tell you this. We live in the 21st century and no rational person should have just one copy of their evidences so they might try to destroy the now and I'll provide a new one when the time is right.
***************
"Zara are you ok? Are you in trouble?" Kaylee asked me with a concerned face.
"Me? Do I look like I'm in trouble?" I chuckled, watching her concern turn to confusion.
"But the principal called you to her office."
"Yes she did Kaylee, but everything has been settled now and...…"
"Is that what you think?" I heard someone say behind me, or lemme put it this way, I heard the annoying voice I was getting familiar to,say.
I turned to see Liam and Beatrice behind me.
"The two of you again? Geez, why can't you just leave me. Don't you have a life? What were the two of you doing with your lives before I came to this school."
"Watch your back Zara. After that stunt you pulled in the principal's office, I will advice you to watch your back and sleep with one eye open," Liam said in a soft but dangerous tone that made me shiver but I refused to back down.
"Let's see what you can do then," I smirked, never breaking eye contact with him.
