After relaxing for a while Clay hears a ding, "you have received a soul from your soul generator."
Looking to see what traps he can make now that he has monsters with silver stars, he sees a new option in his menu for traps.
He looks at all the traps available to him for one soul.
Pitfall trap - when foes step on-top of this trap they fall 3 meters down into a hole. Making it difficult to escape or allowing monsters prey on them.
Stone spikes trap - when activated many spikes shoot from the ground or wall piercing foes.
Seeing the many traps he can make but only these two being the one soul options he decides to make a pitfall trap at the entrance of the dungeon. Hoping it would give his slow moving slimes a chance to catch foes and maybe beat higher star level foes.
Back in the kingdom of light, the human leader paces back and forth in his office.
"Not returned again? I may need to send adventurers into the dungeon to bring back a map."
He sits at his desk and begins to write a letter asking for adventurers to bring a map of the first floor of the dungeon in the forest of indica. He also says that four scouts have died in there already and to send in adventurers of two silver stars or higher.
He sends off the letter and falls into his chair, his foot tapping anxiously as he thinks the worst of what's to come.
Back in Clay's dungeon he sits relaxing by his soul core.
"Man, this is boring." He says softly.
"There has been some loot gathered from the dead in your dungeon." Clay's assistant exclaims as a pile of small boxes appear next to Clay.
Opening the boxes Clay sees a few small gold coins, "This must be the currency the races above use. I'll keep it to use as rewards in the dungeons." He then sees 5 daggers neatly stacked in one of the boxes, on close inspection all of them are chipped and blunt. Clay picks the sharpest and cleanest one and puts the others in a pile in the corner.
"Hey assistant? Can I add like chests and loot in my dungeon?" Clay asks.
"Yes. Chests and other loot outside of monster drops can only be placed in boss floors and floors that are not the first floor. You can acquire loot by taking items invaders have when the dungeon kills them or collecting items and materials when you Leave the dungeon." She immediately responds.
"I see…" Clay ponders what to do next, "not like I can do much with zero souls."
A few hours pass before Clay sees a human and an elf enter his dungeon. Clay smiles waiting for them to continue into the dungeon.
Inside the dungeon, "can't believe that this dungeon has killed 4 scouts already, glad that they decided to only let 2 silver star or higher people to enter the dungeon." The human exclaimed as they move forward.
"Yeah, it's kind of scary. I'm sensing five slime type monsters up ahead, each are nearing the two silver star level. Keep an eye out." The elf exclaims as she uses her staff for a detection spell.
As they both reach the group of slimes, they move into position and almost instantly the floor under them falls out and they drop, they land on their back with their weapons being dropped. The slimes see this and all five of them jump in the small hole and slowly start covering the foes and pulling and tearing their skin and flesh.
The sound of screaming and flesh tearing echoes through the maze walls before stopping as the life leaves their eyes after nearly ten minutes of the slimes tearing at their flesh. The slimes leave the bones of the foes in the pitfall and climb out of the hole preparing for any new foes.
Clay sitting in his giant marble room watching the screaming of the foes in the pitfall. A smile forms on his face as the life leaves their eyes and he watches his souls increase stopping at 51.
Using this opportunity he builds nine more pitfall traps. As the last pitfall trap is built he hears a ding, "evolution requirements met. Five stone maze slimes have evolved into one maze trap slime."
Clay smiles, he quickly builds ten more pitfall traps and then using 15 more souls he summons 15 blue slimes, evolving them into five stone maze slimes and then evolving them into one maze trap slime.
He then builds a boss room wanting to see if he can get a Giant Stone Maze slime in there. Using six souls he places three giant blue slimes in the stone maze floor.
"Evolution requirements achieved. Three giant blue slimes have evolved into a King Stone maze slime."
