In this chapter I will be explain how to make a thaumaturgical engraving step by step. This auxilerary chapter is not necessary for the story and can be skipped. This chapter will not have any spoilers.

for the first step you will want to get the object you want to make the thaumaturgical engraving. This is quite the easy step and for this example I will be using a thaumaturgical rock like the rocks the main character of this novel uses.

Thaumaturgy rocks are a combination of a normal rock and a piece of papar with the following incantion written on it 'IK KORTH RIK TROK' which means this item will become thaumarock. Though the paper used has to be sort of seethrough to be able to use it for a incantation and it can not support stronger incantations like disintegrate or shield. Because the rock is not holding any incantations yet it will still count as a rock and not a gem.

for the second step you will want to get your engraving tool out, this is usually something in the shape of a stick with a hard part at the end of it which you can push on to make engravings into the rock. Thaumaturgy rocks are extremely easy to use for this as engraving in them is made extremely easy due to their texture.

For the third step you will engrave the inscription onto the item like you have done with the paper to help make the thaumaturgy rock. Every word in the human language has a word in thaumaturgy, some sound extremely similar and some are very different. The sentance on the rock does not have to make alot of sence it just has to kind of make sence. Like the following sentance: 'HESH TRUH LAST BBU NUTT ING CIRC' which means DISAPPEAR WHEN ME LEAVE 50 KM CIRCLE. Disappear means that the item or the thing it has been plastered on will dissapear, adding the when suffix will make it so it disappears when a certain condition has been reached, me makes it so the condition has to do with me, BBU means that the disappear condition activates when you leave a certain area, NUTT meaning 50 doesn't mean anything on its own while the km makes it so the 50 will be defined as a distance that distance being kilometers. CIRC means circle which makes the previous area of 50 km a circle. This inscription can be found out by either trial and error or by using a already proven incantation, the main character had to find out every single incantation by himself. Every incantation is very different from the previous incantation but the syntax is all quite the same.

to start with the fourth step you will have to design your very own engravin which symbolyses you, this will contain achievements of your and will contain things you have done in life with less impactful consequences, You name will also be inscribed in symbols with different letters being different things, The main character does not adhere to these principles and made it harder on himself for absolutely no reason. These letters will be used to write you name narrowing the search for the specified human then adding your prefrences and all your impactful and not impactful choices reducing the search to an even narrower amount of people then also adding the appearance should narrow it down to just youself.

for the fourth step you will engrave the engraving you made to symbolise yourself right next to the incantation or above the incantation, the engraving can NOT be below the inscription if this happens it will have adverse effects, then above the incantation on the rock you will draw the effect of the rock out in a beautiful way with everything necessary for this you will also need trial and error or just be good at this. Only when you have finally done this it will be considered a true gem which you can use.

So for the fifth step you will use a piece of paper to test if the gem will function if it doesn't work than you might get royally screwed, if you engrave it into yourself and it does not activate the wound you created will not automatically close itself. To do this you will grab a piece of paper and draw on it with a nice neat pen the incantation is: 'MINO TRT IK RIK MOMN NONO' which means IDENTIFY WHETHER THIS WILL BE WORK. If the piece of paper turns into a green piece of paper it will work if it turns into a red piece of paper it wont work, if it doesn't change colour it means the gem isn't complete yet and if the colour changes to blue it means the piece of paper is way to weak and you will have to engrave this into a gem, for engravings that dont have anything to do with yourself you will not have to engrave you personal inscription, you will have to just engrave nothing in it's place.

When you have completed all of this you will be completely done and the gem should work, if it does not then you have made a mistake and I would recommend starting all the way from the start again.
