Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: "The Stranger in the shadows"

I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. As I walked through the crowded hallways, I kept catching glimpses of a figure out of the corner of my eye. But every time I turned to look, there was no one there.

I tried to brush it off as mere paranoia, but the feeling only intensified as the day went on. I started to feel like I was trapped in some kind of surreal nightmare, with unseen eyes following my every move.

It wasn't until I stumbled upon a quiet corner of the library that I finally felt like I could breathe again. The soft glow of the fluorescent lights and the musty smell of old books were a welcome respite from the chaos of the hallways.

I settled into a comfortable chair, surrounded by towering shelves of books, and tried to focus on my studies. But my mind kept wandering back to the mysterious figure that seemed to be lurking in the shadows.

As the hours passed, the library grew quieter and quieter, until I was the only one left. The silence was oppressive, and I found myself straining to hear even the faintest sound.

And then, just as I was starting to relax, I heard it. A faint rustling noise, coming from the shelf behind me.

I spun around, my heart racing, and that's when I saw him. A tall, imposing figure with piercing eyes and a twisted grin.

"Welcome, J," he said, his voice low and menacing. "I've been waiting for you."

I tried to speak, but my voice caught in my throat. I was frozen with fear, unable to move or speak.

The stranger took a step closer to me, his eyes glinting with a sinister light. "You're a hard person to find, J," he said. "But I've finally tracked you down."

I tried to struggle, but my body felt heavy and unresponsive. It was as if I was trapped in a nightmare, and I couldn't wake up.

The stranger reached out and grabbed my arm, pulling me out of the library and into the darkness beyond. I stumbled through the deserted hallways, my heart racing with fear.

As we walked, the stranger seemed to grow taller and more imposing, his presence filling the entire hallway. I felt like I was being swallowed whole, consumed by his darkness.

We finally stopped in front of a door that I had never seen before. The stranger pushed it open, revealing a narrow stairway that descended deep into the earth.

"Down here," he said, his voice dripping with malice.

I hesitated, my heart pounding in my chest. But the stranger just pushed me forward, forcing me to start down the stairs.

As I descended deeper into the darkness, I realized that I had no idea where I was going or what this stranger wanted from me. All I knew was that I had to get away from him, no matter what it took.

But as I reached the bottom of the stairs, I saw something that made my blood run cold. A figure, shrouded in shadows, was waiting for me.

And then, just as I was about to scream, everything went black.

To be continued...
