Dakota Choi, the heiress of Choi Enterprise, became the babysitter of Wyatt Park, the youngest son of the Parks, due to his father's decision. Dakota loves partying; she doesn't even care what other people think as long as she's enjoying being in a club with her friends Levi Kim and Harlow Hamada.
It was already morning when Dakota got home from the club with his friends, he found his father at the dining table. Dakota would not have approached him, but he called her over and made her sit on the empty chair. Since her mother died five years ago, her relationship with her father change. If only her father hadn't been cheated she might still be alive.
"One of our maids informed me that you and your friends went to the club yesterday. How many times do I have to tell you to stop going to clubs for Pete's sake? Dakota, you'll be the future heiress of Choi Enterprise. What will people say when they find out that the only child of the Choi family is leading a wasted life?" her father said
"Oh please cut the crap; we both know that you only care about the reputation of your business. You don't really care if my life goes to waste; you're just afraid that your business will get affected by my chaotic life.."
"You'll be the death of me, Dakota Choi." "I'm not surprised, though." her father just signed in defeat because he knows her daughter so much.
"The reason why I called you is because you remember the Parks? your uncle Xavier?" "Uncle Xavier Park? What about him?"
"Well, your uncle asked me a favor if you could babysit Wyatt for him."
"WHAT? Dad, for goddam sake, I didn't graduate magna cum laude to become Uncle Xavier's child's babysitter."
"Watch your mouth young girl! I'm still your father and, besides, I already said yes. You can't do anything about my decision anymore, whether you like it or not. you'll babysit Wyatt. And the child only listens to you, just give in to your uncle."
" Dad Wyatt is not a child anymore, He's already eighteen."
"He's eighteen but acting like a child. Besides, you have the same personality, so you two will get along. pack your things you'll leave tomorrow morning"
Dakota had no choice but to follow his father. She went into her room to tidy up things. While she was organizing, her friend Levi called asking if the news was true. " Hey did you really agree to your father's wishes?" Harlow said " Yeah, as if I had a choice. He had already made a decision before asking if i was okay with it."
After she finish arranging her things a message pop up on her phone, She received a message on her phone, her friends gossiping about this certain group of guys that they met at the club, she doesn't really care about those people but one guy caught her attention due to familiarity. The man bears a resemblance to her former boyfriend. Although they share similar physical traits, their personalities are markedly different.
Later that evening, Dakota found herself ensnared in a nightmare, a recurring torment that had plagued her for the past five years. The same narrative unfolded, featuring the same individuals from her dreams. Her screams pierced the silence, rousing her father, who hurried to her room upon hearing her cries of distress. "Dakota, open the door," he urged, but she continued to wail in her slumber. In a moment of urgency, he summoned one of the maids to retrieve the master key to her room. Once he managed to unlock the door, he discovered Dakota still sobbing uncontrollably. Without hesitation, he enveloped her in a comforting embrace, striving to awaken her from the nightmare. Dakota stirred, drenched in sweat, with palpable fear evident in her eyes.
"Father, I am filled with fear and uncertainty regarding what actions to take. I attempted to reach you and mother several times, but it seems you are unable to hear me. In my desperation, I ran as swiftly as possible, yet he managed to catch up to me and ultimately strangled me. Subsequently, an individual appeared, though I could not discern his features as they were obscured. He successfully rescued me and reassured me that I need not worry, as I am now safe."
"Everything will be alright, dear princess. You have been experiencing those dreams consistently over the past few months, and I believe it is wise for you to stay temporarily with your Uncle Xavier. At least I can be assured of your safety while you are with them." Her father assured her, "What do you mean by saying that I am safe with them, Dad? Is there something I ought to be aware of?"
"You do not need to be concerned at this moment, Princess; everything is being managed effectively. I kindly ask that you remain with the Parks for the time being, and I will update you on the situation shortly. Your Uncle Xavier is well-equipped to handle this matter. It is not merely your demeanor that led me to entrust you with Wyatt; my primary concern is your safety, which I hold above all else. Always remember that you are our cherished treasure, and both your mother and I love you dearly. Now go and prepare your things I'll be the one to accompany you to your uncle's house"
It seems that I may have no choice but to comply with my father's desires if it ultimately benefits me. I genuinely hope that Wyatt does not bring me any trouble and that my stay at their home will be uncomplicated. However, I remain troubled by the identity of the individual who rescues me in my dreams; I cannot ascertain whether he is real or merely a figment of my imagination. If he is indeed the one capable of alleviating my suffering, I sincerely wish to encounter him soon. There are numerous questions in my mind that require answers.
