Chapter 8 - Retrap

As the hour passed, the hotel room door burst open, and a swarm of cameras and paparazzi flooded the room. Vanya smiled sweetly as she entered, pretending to be shocked and hurt by the scene before her. She screamed Emrys' name, her voice echoing through the room.

The cameras clicked away, capturing every moment of the scandalous scene. Emrys and Elena were tangled together on the bed, Elena still looking disheveled and drunk. Vanya's eyes narrowed as she gazed at the pair, her mind racing with thoughts of revenge.

But she didn't let her emotions get the better of her. Instead, she smiled sweetly, playing the part of the wronged woman. She knew that this was just the beginning, that this scandal would be all over the news and social media in no time.

As she posed for the cameras, Vanya's mind flashed back to the events of the past hour. She had gone to the restroom and taken the pills that would counteract the effects of the drugged drink. She had then anonymously sent the same drugged drinks to Elena, knowing that she would be the perfect pawn in her game of revenge.

And then, she had asked the waiter to help her "accidentally" bring Elena up to Emrys' hotel room. It had all been so perfectly planned, and now, it was all coming together.

Vanya's smile grew wider as she gazed at the cameras, her eyes sparkling with triumph. She knew that she had won, that she had finally gotten her revenge on Emrys and Elena.

But as she turned to leave, Vanya's eyes caught sight of something that made her heart skip a beat. A figure, standing in the shadows, watching her with an intensity that made her skin crawl.

Vanya's smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly recovered. She knew that she couldn't let anyone see her weakness, not now, when she was so close to achieving her goal.

.....

As the man from the shadows walked into the next room, he couldn't help but relay the events that had just transpired. "You won't believe what just happened," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice. "The young lady, Vanya, she just saved herself from being disgraced by Emrys and Elena."

The man he was speaking to, a tall, dark-haired individual with piercing blue eyes, raised an eyebrow as he listened to the story. He smirked, clearly entertained by the turn of events, but he didn't say much.

Instead, he waved his hand dismissively, indicating that the man should leave. "It seems your little soon-to-be wife is an interesting person," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

The man nodded, a hint of a smile on his face. "Yes, sir. She certainly is."

As the man left the room, the dark-haired individual couldn't help but feel a spark of curiosity about Vanya. Who was this young woman, and what had driven her to orchestrate such a dramatic and public scandal?

He leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers together as he pondered the question. He had a feeling that Vanya was going to be a very interesting person to get to know.

.....

As Vanya walked into her house, she was met with a scene of utter chaos. Her father, James, was standing in the living room, his face red with rage as he shouted at Elena. Her mother, Victoria, was trying to defend Elena, but James was having none of it.

"You're an embarrassment!" James yelled, his voice echoing off the walls. "You're a shame to our family!"

Elena, still looking disheveled from her earlier encounter with Emrys, tried to justify herself. "Dad, it's not my fault!" she cried, her voice shaking. "Emrys tricked me, he-"

But James wasn't listening. He was too busy berating Elena, telling her what a disappointment she was. Vanya watched the scene unfold with a mixture of satisfaction and disdain. She felt no pity for Elena, not after what she had done to her in her past life.

Vanya's mind flashed back to the memories of her past life, of how Elena had shunned and mocked her when she had been falsely accused of sleeping with Emrys. She had cried and tried to explain, but Elena had just called her disgusting and shameless. And that had been the final nail in the coffin, the thing that had caused James to break ties with her.

As Vanya watched Elena try to defend herself, she felt a sense of justice being served. Elena was finally getting what was coming to her, and Vanya was happy to see it.

But as she watched the scene unfold, Vanya also felt a sense of unease. She knew that her father's anger was not just directed at Elena, but also at her. She knew that she was next on his list, and that he would stop at nothing to make her do what he wanted.

And Vanya was also afraid that Elena would somehow spin the situation to affect her. She knew that Elena was cunning and manipulative, and that she would stop at nothing to get what she wanted. Vanya was worried that Elena would try to blame her for the scandal, or that she would try to use it as leverage to get her father to do what she wanted.

Vanya's eyes narrowed as she watched Elena's face, her mind racing with thoughts of how she could protect herself from Elena's manipulation. She knew that she had to be careful, that she had to tread carefully if she wanted to survive.

As the scene continued to unfold, Vanya's anxiety grew. She knew that she was walking a thin line, and that one wrong move could spell disaster. But she was determined to come out on top, to protect herself from Elena's manipulation and her father's wrath.
