As Vanya walked into the room, Elena's expression changed in an instant. She started crying, her eyes streaming with tears as she pointed a shaking finger at Vanya.
"She trapped me!" Elena wailed, her voice loud and dramatic. "Vanya went to visit a man at a hotel, despite her upcoming engagement. I only followed her to make sure she was okay, but I got caught up in the mess!"
Elena held up her phone, showing a picture of Vanya entering the hotel. Vanya's eyes widened in shock as she realized that Elena had actually snapped pictures for proof, then again, she tipped the paparazzi so she must have evidence too.
Victoria, Vanya's stepmother, slapped Vanya across the face, her eyes blazing with anger. "You're a shame to our family!" Victoria spat, her voice venomous. "You're engaged to be married, and yet you're still running around with other men! You're a disgusting, shameless girl!"
Vanya's face stung from the slap, but she refused to back down. She was furious, and she let her anger show.
"How dare you!" Vanya shouted, her voice loud and clear. "I went to break up with him, not to cheat on my fiancé! I've done nothing wrong, and yet you're treating me like a criminal!"
James, Vanya's father, seemed to calm down a little bit at Vanya's words. He looked at her with a slightly more reasonable expression, and Vanya took advantage of the opportunity.
"I know I'm engaged, Father," Vanya said, her voice calm and respectful. "And I intend to honor that commitment. But I also deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. I deserve to be believed and trusted."
James looked at Vanya for a long moment, and then he nodded. "Very well," he said. "I'll listen to what you have to say. But Elena, you're still in trouble. You need to learn to control yourself and make better choices."
Elena's face fell, but Vanya just smiled. She had won this small battle, but she knew that the war was far from over.
Vanya was sitting in her room, smiling to herself as she thought about the events of the previous day. She had received several phone calls from Emrys, but she had blocked him, not wanting to hear his excuses or apologies.
Just as she was starting to relax, Elena burst into the room, her face twisted with anger. "You think you're so clever, don't you?" Elena spat, her eyes blazing with fury. "You set me up, Vanya. You deliberately led me into that trap."
The air was thick with tension as Elena stormed into Vanya's room, her face a picture of rage. Vanya, seated on her bed, gazed up at her with an air of calmness, her eyes sparkling with a hint of amusement.
Vanya's expression remained serene, her lips curled into a gentle smile. She didn't bother to respond, choosing instead to let Elena's anger simmer.
Elena's face turned a deep shade of crimson as she continued to rant, her words spilling out in a torrent of accusations. Vanya listened attentively, her eyes never leaving Elena's face.
As Elena's tirade finally began to subside, Vanya spoke up, her voice dripping with saccharine sweetness. "Oh, Elena, I'm so sorry. I think you're misunderstanding the situation entirely."
Elena's eyes narrowed, her face twisting into a scowl. "I'm not misunderstanding anything," she snarled. "I know exactly what you did, Vanya. You're a manipulative, deceitful monster."
Vanya's smile never wavered. She leaned forward, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Elena, dear, you're so quick to jump to conclusions. Perhaps you should take a step back and consider the facts. You were the one who followed me to the hotel, not the other way around. And as for Emrys... well, let's just say that he's not exactly the most trustworthy person in the world."
Elena's face turned an even deeper shade of red as she realized that Vanya was turning the tables on her. She took a step forward, her fists clenched at her sides.
"You're lying," Elena spat. "I know you set me up. And I'm going to make sure that everyone knows what you did."
Vanya's smile never faltered. She leaned back in her chair, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, Elena, dear. You're so predictable. I'm shaking in my boots."
The air was electric with tension as the two women locked eyes, their animosity towards each other palpable. It was clear that this was far from over, and that the battle between Vanya and Elena was only just beginning.
