Prologue

In the deep and vast sands of the Sahara Desert, the echoes of cosmic wind can be heard scattering across the ancient temples.

Within present-day Luxor, through the temples of Karnak, stood a lone woman on top of one of these divine constructs.

The sun had not yet risen from its slumber, leaving the canvas without its beautiful light to cast itself upon it.

The girl, wearing a long red dress swaying in the wind behind her, walked onto the temple's edge. Her dark reddish hair cascaded over her shoulders, with two cat-like ears poking up above her head.

Her eyes, sharp and beautiful as two crimson rubies, scanned the horizon where The Nile shimmered like a ribbon of life through the desert landscape.

The woman's gaze shifted to the Great Hypostyle Hall, with its forest of colossal columns reaching towards the heavens.

Each pillar was a testament to the glory of Amun-Ra, The great Sun God, one known by the people of old as the King of Gods.

Temples within these lands held praise to many other Gods within the pantheon, adorned with intricate carvings depicting ancient battles, offerings, and divine decrees.

Slowly, the rising sun would start to shine, casting long shadows through the hall, and creating a path of light to illuminate these harsh sands.

As she took a deep breath, the woman felt her consciousness heavy, the weight of her eyes taking her as she closed them shut.

At that moment, she understood why the pharaohs chose this sacred ground to build their monumental tributes to the Gods.

It was a place where the divine met the mortal, where heaven touched the earth, and where history was carved in stone for all eternity.

She closed her eyes, letting the ancient power wash over her, feeling a sense of purpose awaken within her soul.

Holding her hands together, she began to speak the verse of her prayer. "

"Oh great and powerful Gods…

Kings of ancient times, hear my prayers."

"The land of Egypt is in great peril…"

"A chaotic threat is imminent,

for it has been without a king for far too long…"

"Upon the earth of Geb, and by the breath of Shu,"

"Let my prayer be heard…"

"By the Justice of Ma'at,"

"let truth prevail and order be restored to these mystic lands."

"Now, in Egypt's darkest hour…"

"I beg of you, My Pharaoh…"

"Return to us!"

"Return to us and take your rightful place as King!"

The girl screams out to the heavens, as we pan away from her to view the vast land of Upper Egypt, over the city of Luxor as a whole.

The sun has now fully risen, illuminating the ancient city in all its glory. The lands in which the first Gods and Kings were born, where the very start of human civilization as a whole began.

Now, in the year 2020, approximately 2050 years after the end of the last Pharaoh's reign, and over 3000 years since the Gods retreated back into the heavens and left humanity to carve out their own future, after all this time…

The Gods have returned.
