The grand gates of Arvalis, the royal capital of Pushkaradweep, came into view as our carriage approached. Despite the exhaustion from the journey, I couldn't help but marvel at the city. The towering walls were adorned with intricate carvings, and the streets buzzed with life. Arvalis had a charm that was both regal and welcoming.
The guards at the gates saluted as we entered, and soon we were brought to the royal palace—a structure so grand it almost felt like it touched the sky. The guards led us into a large hall, where Prince Paraksh awaited.
He was a tall, imposing figure with sharp features and a calm demeanor. His royal robes were elegant yet practical, hinting at someone who valued both tradition and action.
"Welcome to Pushkaradweep," he said with a warm smile as he approached us. "Princess Rimu, Sir Uzu, I trust your journey wasn't too difficult?"
Rimu nodded, though she still looked tired from the road. "We faced some… challenges, but we're here safely now."
The prince's gaze softened. "I'm glad to hear that. You must be exhausted. Please, rest for now. We will talk in detail later."
"Thank you, Prince Paraksh," I said, bowing slightly.
As we turned to leave, the prince added, "Before you retire, I should let you know—your companions, the summoned heroes, are not in the capital right now."
Rimu looked surprised. "Where are they?"
"There was a monster attack in a nearby village. The heroes, along with a small group of knights and mages, went to handle the situation," the prince explained. "They should return soon, so you can meet them here. For now, consider this palace your home."
Rimu nodded, though a flicker of concern crossed her face.
"Thank you again, Prince," I said, trying to sound reassuring. "We'll make ourselves at home and wait for their return."
With that, the prince dismissed us, and servants guided us to our quarters. The rooms were spacious and luxurious, but I couldn't shake the unease I felt. A monster attack in a nearby village? It seemed like trouble was never far away.
As I lay on the soft bed that night, I couldn't help but wonder how the heroes were faring. Would they be able to handle the danger? Or would they, too, find themselves at the mercy of this unpredictable world?

The evening sky outside Princess Rimu's room was painted in shades of orange and purple. Inside, the atmosphere was calm yet filled with purpose. Prince Paraksh sat across from Princess Rimu at a small table, his expression thoughtful but firm.
Paraksh began, "So, we now have access to the new order for the summoning ritual. It's a significant development."
Rimu nodded, her eyes sharp. "Indeed. But other nations are still suspicious. They believe someone might have interfered with the summoning process."
"That's understandable," Paraksh said, leaning back slightly. "However, at least we've gained an extra hero. That should count for something."
"Yes, but the situation is complicated," Rimu replied, her tone measured. "That 'extra hero'—Uzu—doesn't have any magic. Yet, he managed to defeat Master Maki in swordsmanship. That's no small feat."
Paraksh raised an eyebrow. "That's true. His talent is undeniable. And, as you mentioned earlier, he proved himself during the monster attack. His strategies were impressive. Perhaps we've underestimated him."
Rimu folded her hands, her expression thoughtful. "He didn't show any hesitation or weakness this time. That alone speaks volumes about his character."
Paraksh hesitated for a moment, as if weighing his words carefully. "I wonder… Could it be that he has—" He stopped himself mid-sentence. "No, forget it. It's just a thought."
Rimu raised an eyebrow but didn't press further. Instead, she shifted the topic. "How is the plan progressing?"
Paraksh's demeanor became more focused. "The plan is moving smoothly. We've successfully acquired the Platinum Arc. That alone is a major victory."
Rimu smiled faintly, satisfaction evident on her face. "Good. With the Platinum Arc in our possession, most of the remaining tasks should become much easier. We're finally making real progress."
Paraksh nodded. "Yes. But we must still tread carefully. This is just the beginning. We cannot afford any missteps."
The room fell silent for a moment, the weight of their discussion hanging in the air. Both royals knew the stakes were high, and every decision they made could shape the future of their kingdoms.
"Let's keep this between us for now," Rimu finally said. "We'll reveal more details when the time is right."
"Agreed," Paraksh replied. He stood, smoothing out his robes. "I'll leave you to rest, Princess. We'll speak again soon."
As Paraksh exited the room, Rimu remained seated, her gaze fixed on the fading light outside. The road ahead was uncertain, but she felt a renewed sense of purpose. They had made progress, and with allies like Uzu in their midst, perhaps the tides would turn in their favor.
