Chapter 9 - Special Training

The morning sun stretched across the training grounds as each of us focused on our tasks. The air buzzed with the hum of magic being practiced, and the instructors moved between the heroes, guiding them in their lessons. While I wasn't there, my friends continued to improve in their unique ways.

___

The training grounds buzzed with energy. Mages of different elements stood in a semi-circle, their presence commanding attention. Tai stood at the center, his brows furrowed as he observed them closely. Sosa had brought him here to watch and learn, her sharp gaze never leaving him.

"Tai," Sosa began, her voice steady, "you're unique. Unlike others, you can wield all elements. But power means nothing without understanding. Watch closely. Learn how each element works. Then try for yourself."

Tai nodded, determination burning in his eyes.

The first mage stepped forward, flames dancing in her palms. She flicked her wrist, sending a wave of fire into the air, shaping it into a roaring phoenix.

"Fire is passion," she explained. "It's raw, powerful, and unforgiving. But it's also fragile—it needs control, or it will consume you."

Tai raised his hand, mimicking her movements. At first, the flames sputtered weakly. He closed his eyes, focusing on the heat within. The flame grew, and with a determined push, he sent a wave of fire forward. It wasn't as refined, but it carried power.

The next mage stepped forward, water flowing from his hands like a gentle stream. He swirled it around himself before launching it forward in a sharp, slicing arc.

"Water is adaptable," he said. "It can be soft or hard, still or moving. Learn to flow with it."

Tai attempted to summon water. It dripped awkwardly from his fingers at first. The water mage smiled patiently.

"Feel its rhythm," he advised. "It's like a dance."

Taking a deep breath, Tai tried again. This time, a small wave formed, bending and twisting under his control. He grinned.

A gust of air swept through as the wind mage took their turn. They leapt into the air, carried by a whirlwind, before landing gracefully.

"Wind is freedom," the mage said. "It's light, fast, and unpredictable. Use it to move, to evade, to strike."

Tai struggled to summon wind at first. It felt invisible, intangible.

"Don't force it," the wind mage advised. "Let it carry you."

Tai closed his eyes, feeling the breeze around him. Slowly, he raised his hand, and a gust of wind swirled around him, lifting a few leaves into the air.

The ground trembled as the earth mage stepped forward. With a stomp, a wall of rock rose in front of him, solid and imposing.

"Earth is strength," he said. "It's steady, unyielding. Be patient and firm."

Tai hesitated. Summoning earth felt heavier, slower than the other elements.

"Anchor yourself," the mage advised. "Feel the weight beneath you."

Tai dug his feet into the ground, focusing. Slowly, the earth shifted, forming a small barrier in front of him. It wasn't perfect, but it held.

By the end of the session, Tai was exhausted but thrilled. He had managed to wield each element, albeit roughly.

"Not bad," Sosa said, walking up to him. "But don't get cocky. Mastery takes time. Today, you've only scratched the surface."

Tai nodded, wiping sweat from his brow. "I understand, Instructor. I'll keep practicing."

Sosa's lips curled into a faint smile. "Good. Tomorrow, we'll push harder. For now, rest."

As Tai left the training grounds, he couldn't help but feel a spark of pride. He was one step closer to becoming the hero this world needed.

___

The training grounds were busy, filled with the sounds of spells and shouts of determination. Ono stood in front of two instructors—a ground mage skilled in defensive shields and an air mage known for their agility. Her goal was clear: to learn both.

The air mage stepped forward first, creating a light breeze that swirled around them. With a graceful motion, they formed a small, rotating shield of air.

"Air magic is light and fast," the instructor said. "It's about movement, not force. Feel the flow, and let it guide you."

Ono raised her hand, trying to summon the same breeze. At first, nothing happened. She frowned, focusing harder, but the air stayed still.

"Don't force it," the mage encouraged. "Breathe. Air is everywhere—connect with it."

Ono took a deep breath, relaxing her mind. Slowly, she felt the wind stir around her fingers. She smiled as a small breeze formed, growing stronger as she moved her hand.

After hours of practice, she managed to create a rotating shield of air. It wasn't perfect, but it held its shape.

"Good start," the air mage said. "Now, let's see how you use it with the shields."

The ground mage took over next. He stomped the ground, creating a large stone barrier in front of him.

"Shields are about defense," he explained. "Strong, steady, and unshakable. With air magic, you can make your shields lighter but just as tough."

Ono nodded and tried to form a shield. She placed her hand on the ground, but nothing happened. Frustrated, she tried again and again, but the ground remained still.

"Be patient," the ground mage said. "It's not just about strength—it's about focus. Start small."

Following his advice, Ono created a tiny barrier of stone. Slowly, she added a layer of air around it, merging the two. It was shaky at first, but with practice, she got better.

Days passed, and Ono's determination paid off. She successfully created a two-layer air shield—a defensive spell that combined the speed of air magic with the strength of ground magic.

After mastering the basics, Ono focused entirely on her new spell. She formed two layers of air around herself. The first layer absorbed impact, while the second deflected it.

The instructors watched as she tested her shield against small attacks. It held firm, protecting her from every strike.

"You've done well," the ground mage said with a nod. "This spell will serve you in many battles."

The air mage added, "Your focus and patience paid off. Keep improving, and you'll become a force to reckon with.

Ono wiped the sweat from her forehead, feeling a sense of pride. Learning air magic and shields had been tough, but she had succeeded. As she left the training grounds, she couldn't wait to show her friends what she had achieved.

___

The training grounds were quiet as Sen walked up to her instructors—a water healer mage and a natural magic user who could combine both water and fire. Healing magic wasn't about attack or defense; it was about saving lives.

"You already have the gift of healing," the water mage began, her voice calm and steady. "But using fire as your element will make your healing unique. Let's start with the basics."

The water healer mage demonstrated first. She raised her hands, and a soft blue glow surrounded her. A small cut on her arm closed instantly.

"Water healing flows naturally," she explained. "It soothes and cools. Fire, however, is different. It burns away impurities and fights infections. You must learn to control the heat."

Sen nodded, holding out her hands. At first, a weak flame flickered between her palms. She tried to direct it toward a small injury on a training dummy, but the flame fizzled out.

"Take your time," the natural magic user encouraged. "Healing isn't just about the spell—it's about focus and intent. Think of the fire as warmth, not destruction."

Closing her eyes, Sen tried again. This time, the flame grew steady, wrapping around the dummy's wound. Slowly, the injury disappeared.

"You did it," the water mage said with a smile. "Now, let's make it faster."

The natural magic user stepped forward. "Healing in battle needs to be quick. If you're too slow, someone might not survive. Let's work on a spell called Boost—it speeds up your healing."

The instructor demonstrated, her hands glowing as she healed the dummy's wound in seconds.

Sen practiced for hours, pouring all her focus into the spell. At first, the process was slow, but with each attempt, she got faster. Finally, she managed to heal a deep wound in mere moments.

"You've mastered Boost," the instructor said proudly. "But there's one more step—combining fire and healing for even greater power."

Combining elements wasn't easy, even for a gifted healer like Sen. The natural magic user showed her how fire and water could work together to purify and heal at the same time.

"Fire burns away infections, while water soothes the pain," the instructor explained. "When used together, they create a powerful healing spell."

Sen focused, summoning both fire and healing magic. It was difficult to balance the heat and the soothing energy, but she didn't give up. Slowly, the flames wrapped around her hands, glowing with a soft, golden light. When she touched the dummy, the wound healed faster and more effectively than ever before.

"You did it," the natural magic user said. "This spell will save many lives."

By the end of the seventh day, Sen felt exhausted but proud. She had learned to heal with fire, mastered Boost, and even combined fire and healing magic.

As she left the training grounds, her heart was filled with determination. She wasn't just a healer—she was becoming a hero in her own way.

__

Yuuki stood in the training grounds, feeling a mix of excitement and pressure. Among her friends, her magic was the most unique—sealing magic. But no one, not even the experienced mages, had much knowledge about it. Her instructor, Sosa, was determined to help.

"I may not know much about sealing magic," Sosa admitted, "but I can guide you in controlling your power. We'll start with basics and build from there. You'll also need to learn Air magic, as it complements your abilities."

Yuuki's first challenge was mastering Air magic under the guidance of an air mage.

"Air magic is about flow and precision," the air mage explained. "It's not as direct as other elements, but it can strengthen your seals and create barriers."

Yuuki raised her hands, trying to summon the air. At first, all she managed was a weak gust that barely stirred the grass.

"Focus," the air mage said patiently. "Feel the air around you. Let it guide you, not the other way around."

With time and concentration, Yuuki started to create small whirlwinds. She learned to control their speed and direction, forming an Air Circle—a rotating barrier of wind. It wasn't easy, but after days of practice, she could summon it quickly and use it effectively.

Once Yuuki had a grasp of Air magic, Sosa stepped in to teach her sealing techniques.

"Sealing magic is rare," Sosa said. "It's about locking your enemy in place or cutting off their powers. It's not flashy, but it can turn the tide of battle."

Sosa showed her the basics of creating a Trap, a simple spell that immobilized an enemy for a short time. Yuuki practiced tirelessly, placing magical symbols on the ground that activated when someone stepped on them.

It was frustrating at first—her traps were too weak, breaking apart before they could hold anything. But with persistence, she improved. She managed to create a strong trap that could hold even a skilled mage for a few seconds.

Next, Sosa introduced her to a more advanced spell called Binding.

"Binding is different," Sosa explained. "It's not just about stopping movement—it's about locking your enemy's magic. This will require focus and precision."

Yuuki poured all her energy into learning Binding. It was harder than Trap, but after countless attempts, she succeeded. She could now create magical chains that wrapped around an enemy, stopping them from using their powers.

Yuuki's final challenge was combining her Air magic with sealing spells. Using the Air Circle she had learned earlier, she enhanced her traps and bindings, making them faster and more effective.

By the end of her training, Yuuki had mastered:

Trap: A spell that immobilizes enemies for a limited time.

Binding: A stronger spell that locks an enemy's movements and magic.

Air Circle: A rotating barrier of wind that can protect her or amplify her sealing spells.

As the sun set on the training grounds, Yuuki felt a deep sense of accomplishment. She had unlocked the potential of her rare magic and grown stronger with each lesson.

Her sealing magic, combined with Air magic, gave her an edge that few could counter. She was ready to stand alongside her friends in the challenges ahead.

___

But it looked like Master Maki told about me to Instructor. It might be difficult to hide who I, Uzu Hiko really was.

"Or may be I am wrong." I said aloud.

No one was nearby,I was standing at my new home where I was practicing farming.
