I and my friends exchanged uncertain glances as King Aryarama Dweep's commanding voice echoed in the grand hall.
"Tem Que," the king said, looking toward the armored figure standing at the edge of the room, "take our guests to the Mage Knights' training grounds. They must be prepared for what lies ahead."
Tem, the head commander of the Mage Knights, gave a sharp nod. His presence was as commanding as his title, with a scar running across his cheek and a demeanor that allowed no nonsense. He turned to us and motioned for them to follow.
"This way," he said curtly.
The five of us hesitated for a moment before falling in line behind him. The grand hall gave way to a series of stone corridors illuminated by glowing crystals embedded in the walls. Their footsteps echoed in the quiet, broken only by the distant hum of magical energy.
"Is this really happening?" Tai whispered, his voice a mixture of awe and disbelief.
"No idea," Ono muttered, "One second we're talking about poetry, the next… this."
"This isn't a dream," I said firmly. "It feels too real to be one."
Well, It looks like we are really in danger situation, and the main part is what will happen if one of us may have the power to destroy this king. I do not want to think about this Type of situation but still....
"But what are we supposed to do?" Yuuki's voiced while panicing "We're just students. How can we fight demons?"
Sen placed a comforting hand on Yuuki's shoulder. "We'll figure it out. Panicking won't help."
I glanced at Tem, who walked a few steps ahead of us. "Excuse me, Commander," I said, keeping my tone respectful, "what exactly are we preparing for? The king mentioned demons, but we don't know anything about this world."
Tem slowed his pace slightly but didn't turn around. "Your confusion is understandable. This world, Jambudweep, has long been at peace thanks to the balance maintained between humans and demons. That balance was upheld by the Demon King."
So, They already had in a pact of peace,But why did demon king started a war like this. It still so much confusion to bear in my mind because I am also panicing.
"Wait," Ono interrupted. "The Demon King kept the peace?"
"Yes," Tem said. "The Demon King and King Aryarama shared an understanding: neither side would interfere with the other as long as the peace was upheld. But…"
He paused, his voice growing heavier. "The Demon King disappeared a year ago. Without his leadership, the demons began to attack human settlements. We've tried to investigate, but we've found no trace of him or his successor. Now, the demon attacks have grown bolder, and their leaders remain hidden. That is why you were summoned—to restore balance and stop this chaos."
The group fell silent includine, the weight of Tem's words sinking in.So, the new demon is still a mystery and even Former Demon was disappeared but it does not show that he died.
It's like he just disappeared. Now, I am feeling like author has forced me to become a male main proganoist in his light novel, dmm it.
I'll kill you if I found you author.Just you wait.
"So, you don't even know who the new Demon King is?" Sen asked cautiously.
"No," Tem admitted. "That is part of the problem. The demons are disorganized yet still dangerous. Whoever has taken the Demon King's place has not revealed themselves, making it difficult to predict their next move."
It seems that New Demon king is scary and he has some sort of aim to achieve. And he is also powerfull enough to keep kingdom in his control.
"That doesn't sound good," Tai said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"It isn't," Tem replied bluntly. "Which is why your arrival is so important. The summoning ritual chose you because you possess the potential to turn the tide of this conflict. But potential means nothing without training."
As we continued walking, the corridors widened into an open courtyard surrounded by towering walls. The space was alive with activity—mages practicing spells, knights sparring with swords, and trainers shouting instructions. The air buzzed with magical energy, and the ground was marked with runes and sigils.
"This is where we test your magical abilities," Tem said, gesturing to a series of platforms at the center of the courtyard. "The priests will evaluate your affinities and determine your strengths. But that will happen tomorrow."
"Why not now?" Tai asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.
"Because you are unprepared," Tem replied. "The summoning process is taxing. Rest and recover tonight. You will need your strength for the trials ahead."
He turned to a nearby attendant. "Show them to their quarters."
The attendant, a young mage with a shy demeanor, stepped forward and led us toward a set of modest but comfortable rooms on the far side of the courtyard. As they settled in, the weight of their situation began to sink in.
Sitting on the edge of his bed, I glanced at my friends. "We've been thrown into this without any warning," I said, "but we need to stay calm and figure this out. Together."
Tai nodded. "Yeah. We've faced tough situations before—though nothing quite like this."
"Nothing at all like this," Ono said, shaking his head. "But I agree with Uzu. Panicking won't help us."
"We'll make it through," Sen said firmly. "One step at a time."
Yuuki smiled faintly, her earlier fear giving way to determination. "We just have to trust each other."
I gave them motivation and we talked about our worlds to flow away our stress. After sometime four of them left my room and they went to their seperate room
As the group settled in for the night, the courtyard outside grew quiet. But the looming challenges of this new world were just beginning.
"New beginning. Hmm, I never thought I will just teleport other world to save strangers." I muttered.
I hope I get enough magic to save my friends. Well good night, readers. I know I am the story teller here. It will cost... Good night I'll tell in next chapter.
