Chapter 1 - Backstory (Chapter 0.1)

"I was walking through the town, till I saw the crowd. The crowd wasn't that big, however it was big enough to draw eyes to it. I headed over to the commotion to see what was going on, like any other sane person.

The town wasn't really that different from a normal town, with a town square and hundreds of wooden houses and bars. In fact, it looked like any town that you would find in those fantasy mangas that weebs read. Yes, I know those mangas since I too, was a weeb once. I wasn't your typical manga stereotype weeb, since I didn't have to wear glasses or was fat or skinny. In fact, I was quite a good-looking guy and was decently popular, however that all changed when I tried to save someone from ending themselves but ended up dying myself. Stupid way to die, right?

Anyways, then I end up in this body, where I learn that I was reincarnated in one of those fantasy mangas where there is magic, gods n' goddesses, and mythical creatures. I was a boy named Seouker Forlum, and was born into the Forlum family, which turned out that they were quite the powerhouse in this world.

Of course, I quickly tried to learn magic using my extensive knowledge of reading mangas and all those other comics, and achieved that goal at an early age. We all know that my parents were very proud of me, as I was hailed as a prodigy. My mother and father were very kind to me, and treated me well. I cannot recall those names, as those memories felt like a million years ago. Still sometimes saddens me when the memories are brought up. I gained multiple skills and abilities during my training growing up, my most favourite being the "Level-Up System", which like it sounds like, levels up your stats and other skills and abilities with points. I also gained other powerful abilities and skills, such as summoning (which is literally just summoning strong creatures to help you fight), invisibility (of course I had to have it), concealing my powers (some things should not be known by no one other than me), invincibility (cause why not), "Death's Blessing" (which allowed me to kill those as long as they have some sort of life signal), "The One Above All" (which basically means that no matter the difference, I will always come out on top, like on tests against others), "Revenge's Wrath" (which is triggered when some tries to plot something at me, I will know who and what will happen, "No Lies Against the All-Seer" (meaning I know everything about a person as long as I take a deep look in their eyes), and others.

Anyways, I headed over to what the commotion was about, as I was much more curious about what was going on than a dog is when they meet another dog and gets curious about them so they go up to their back door and try to greet them type crap, and as I came closer, I started to hear a conversation going on, or much rather someone accusing the other about a matter.

"Hey, I told you that I wasn't lying about it!" I heard a girl's voice, trying to defend herself of something.

"What do you mean young lady?! We all know that you were the one trying to steal young master's delivery! We caught you walking off while carrying it with your hands!" shouted the man's voice. I thought that I had heard that voice from somewhere.

"I told you, I didn't steal it! I said I found this on the ground and was trying who had dropped it!" the girl's voice defended.

I arrived at the scene and asked the person in front of me what was going on.

"Excuse me sir, may I ask about what is the cause of this commotion?"

The man in front of me replied, "Well, it seems like they found a thief that was trying to steal young master Forlum's package that was supposed to be delivered to him today."

I thanked him for the answer and started my way through the crowd to see it in person, as I was only 14 and wasn't tall enough to see over the people. When I got there, I saw a shaking girl and a angry pig. I instantly recognized the fuming pig, as he was my father's servant and was a kind and righteous person most of the time, however could turn really angry if he believed that the culprit was someone but they would not confess to the crime. His name was Pisclo Valdosca, but he peferred to be just called by his last name. The girl had silver hair and gray eyes, and they seemed to be around my age. She had a white shirt and jacket on, with light blue pants. She seemed terrified and scared as she tried to defend herself, however all that fell on deaf ears.

Wanting to deescalate the situation, I stepped and asked, "So, what seems to be the problem here?"

Valdosca turned to me, and his expression quickly changed from anger to one with respect. He said,"Young master! Sorry to bother you! I was just trying to punish this little thief because she had stolen your package, but she would not admit to it. I will quickly resolve this by putting her in the dungeons."

"I told you that I wasn't planning to steal it!" the girl tried to defend. "I was trying to find out who it belonged to!"

"Oh really?" I asked her. "Is what you're saying true?"

"Yes!" the girl responded desperately.

"Ok, we'll find out. Can you look deep into my eyes for a second?" I asked.

She complied, so I activated the "No Lies Against the All-Seer". The results said that she, in fact, did not have any intention to steal the package, and was actually trying to return it back to me.

"Ok, I believe you." I said. "You really did not have any intentions. I sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding and my father's servant's attitude."

"Young master, how would you -," Valdosca started to say, but I cut him off.

"You should shut up and apologize to this poor lady," I snapped at him.

"Yes, Young master, I certainly will," he replied. "Misses, I am terribly sorry for my childish actions, and I hope that you will forgive me, even if my actions were inexcusable."

She looked surprised, but still said, "It is all fine as long as we know that I truly had good intentions."

I thought that she was a kind girl, as she was still willing to accept Valdosca's apology, even if he was not listening to her when she was trying to explain herself. "Here, please take this as compensation for troubling you," I told her as I took out a bag of gold and handed it to her. "I am terribly sorry for not having anything right at the moment, so I hope that you would accept this. Can we exchange contacts so that I would be able to properly compensate you when I have the time?"

She looked flustered. "No need! I am just grateful that this was resolved and didn't result in me being in prison."

I kept insisting her until she finally accepted, so I got her contact info, which was basically just her telling me where I could find her. I also learned that her name was Ellase Parisu. After we parted ways, I turned to Valdosca and told him, "Well, we should get going."

"Yes, Young master!", he responded.

As we rode on the horses, I start to wonder about Ellase, wondering where I recognized her from, as she seemed familiar. Little did I know that this meeting would have resulted in many other "interesting" encounters with her.
