Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: The Infuriating Ma Hongjun!

At the forefront of the group entering the restaurant was a middle-aged man, seemingly in his forties. His appearance was handsome enough, and his slicked-back hair gleamed under the light. He wore an elegant moon-white Spirit Master robe embroidered with intricate silver patterns that shimmered with each movement.

Following closely behind him were seven young men and women, all around twenty years old. They wore similar robes, though without the silver embroidery. On their left shoulders was a green circular insignia with the word Canghui embroidered in matching color.

From their attire alone, it was obvious they were Spirit Masters.

In contrast, Yun Feng's group dressed casually, blending in with ordinary townsfolk. The newcomers' ostentatious appearance stood out sharply.

The restaurant owner, seeing the group enter, hurried forward with a welcoming smile, bowing and scraping in excessive politeness. As Yun Feng had pointed out earlier, this town thrived on the Star Dou Forest, and by extension, on Spirit Masters. Spirit Masters weren't just noble—they were wealthy, and the owner dared not slight them.

"That girl looks pretty decent, huh, Oscar? These guys must be from Canghui Academy, right?" Ma Hongjun's small, beady eyes were locked onto the lone girl in the group of eight.

Admittedly, the girl had a certain charm, enough to be considered above average in looks. While Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ning Rongrong were undoubtedly beautiful, they were still only about twelve years old. In comparison, the more mature, fully-developed girl had a different kind of allure, particularly appealing to someone Ma Hongjun's age. Coupled with his natural evil fire, his eyes gleamed with undisguised interest.

His blatantly lecherous gaze naturally caught the attention of the other group. When they noticed, Ma Hongjun shamelessly said, "What's the big deal about looking at someone from Canghui Academy?"

The faces of the Canghui group darkened immediately. Seeing that their opponents were just a group of kids, their frustration only grew. When had Canghui Academy ever been so disrespected?

Oscar, noticing the tension, chuckled and turned to Yun Feng and the others. "Looks like we're in for some entertainment!"

As the others exchanged puzzled glances, Yun Feng simply smiled without commenting.

Curiosity piqued, Ning Rongrong couldn't resist asking, "What kind of entertainment? Tell me more!"

Seizing the opportunity, Oscar began to show off. "This is part of our training. Dean Flender always says, 'A Spirit Master who doesn't dare cause trouble isn't a good Spirit Master.'

"After all, avoiding conflict is for mediocrities. Picking fights with Spirit Academy students is the safest—at worst, it just ends in a brawl, and no one takes it too far."

Yun Feng couldn't help but inwardly scoff at the idea. "Since when did causing trouble become a virtue? Don't you agree, Ah Yin?"

Ah Yin's body trembled slightly at Yun Feng's words. Causing trouble... causing trouble... Her thoughts seemed to wander as her emotions grew unsettled. Yun Feng noticed but didn't say anything further, sensing the deepening connection between their souls through the control seal.

Meanwhile, the eight members of Canghui Academy had seated themselves two tables away from Shrek's group. The middle-aged man leaned toward one of the young men and whispered something into his ear.

The young man quickly stood up and walked toward Ma Hongjun with a deliberate stride.

Ma Hongjun noticed the man's approach and smirked disdainfully. He wasn't oblivious, but he didn't bother acknowledging the man, convinced of Flender's teachings.

At that moment, a waiter arrived with a tray of dishes. The young man from Canghui Academy suddenly sped up, colliding with the waiter. The dish on the tray flipped straight onto Ma Hongjun's head.

The poor waiter froze in fear, trembling as he realized what had happened. He was just an ordinary person, completely unequipped to deal with Spirit Masters.

But Ma Hongjun's fiery gaze wasn't directed at the waiter—it was fixed on the young man who had caused the mess.

Feeling the heat rising from his drenched head, Ma Hongjun's temper boiled over.

"You're courting death!" he roared, his martial spirit instantly manifesting. Flaming fists shot forward, striking the man squarely in the stomach.

Though the young man was tall and sturdy, he doubled over from the force of the blow and was sent flying like a straw doll. He crashed into two tables before being hurled toward his comrades at Canghui Academy.

The middle-aged man leapt to his feet, catching the young man by the shoulders to steady him. The youth's face turned pale, and he spat out a mouthful of blood before slumping weakly into a chair.

Ma Hongjun casually brushed the food off his head and sneered, "Oh, sorry about that. I'm a bit jumpy—it was just a reflex. You okay?"

Watching Ma Hongjun's brazen behavior, Yun Feng couldn't help but feel an itch in his hands.

Who did he learn this from? He's just asking for a beating.

The restaurant was in an uproar. Diners near the two tables scrambled to move away, fearful of getting caught in the crossfire. Yet many stayed, their faces alight with excitement. Watching Spirit Masters fight usually required tickets to the Spirit Arena—this was a free show!

The remaining six members of Canghui Academy stood up in unison, glaring at the Shrek group with murderous intent. They looked ready to rush over but were stopped by the middle-aged man.

He helped the injured young man into a chair, then turned to Ma Hongjun with a cold expression.

"Which academy do you brats belong to?" he demanded.

Ma Hongjun glanced at Yun Feng, then thought of Zhao Wuji upstairs. Feeling emboldened, he smirked and replied, "Why? Are you trying to register us? I don't think you're qualified."

The Canghui teacher's face turn

ed livid.

"You insolent little brat! Teach him a lesson!" he barked.
