Chapter 17 - Chapter 16: The Language of Roses!

Cultivation Begins!

The upgraded Grand Restroom, now bearing the poetic title [Language of Roses], radiated a faint floral aroma.

[Language of Roses]

Type: Toilet

Level: 1 (0/200)

Function: Waste Disposal

Trait: Fragrance of Roses (Level 1, enhances cultivation speed by +100% while within the building).

Description: A fragrant lavatory imbued with a unique charm, its aroma captivating and oddly inspiring.

Lucian stared at the new property stats again and struggled to process what he was seeing again.

Theoretically, this building was a treasure. A 100% cultivation speed boost would drive ascetics and cultivation fanatics wild. People would pay fortunes for access to such a facility.

But the image of someone sitting in a toilet, meditating while basking in its fragrant glory, left Lucian feeling… conflicted.

"What would they even call themselves?" he muttered. "The Lavatory Sage? The Restroom Deity? This is absurd."

Taking a deep breath, Lucian pushed the thought aside. "I'm not a cultivator yet, and the only resident here is Lin Daiyu, who doesn't need this either. I'll just… ignore it for now."

With the restroom debacle resolved, Lucian led Lin Daiyu to inspect the newly upgraded farmland, now known as Blessed Farmland.

As the two approached the glowing, ethereal fields, Lin Daiyu inclined her head slightly, her delicate features calm and poised. "This land… it's extraordinary, Master. I can feel its energy."

"Yeah, it's a lot better than I expected," Lucian said with a grin. "We can plant some crops to ensure a steady food supply."

Lin Daiyu's gaze softened, and she nodded. "May I suggest fetching the seeds, Master?"

Lucian smirked. "Already prepared."

He opened his inventory and retrieved a package of seeds, a standard item for new Sovereigns entering the Void. It contained a variety of staples, including carrots, potatoes, rice, and wheat.

"What should we plant first?" he asked.

Lin Daiyu pondered for a moment, her eyes scanning the vibrant field. "Master, do we lack food currently?"

Lucian shook his head. "Not at all. I brought enough provisions to feed a hundred people for a month. But it never hurts to start cultivating, especially if we want long-term sustainability or if we need to feed more units in the future."

Her eyes drifted toward the nearby [Steel Armored Shed], where the boar units would eventually be recruited. "Then perhaps we should focus on crops that could serve as fodder for the armored boars?"

Lucian blinked, stunned by her quick insight.

"You're absolutely right!" he exclaimed. "We'll start with carrots. They're nutritious and easy to grow."

Lin Daiyu tilted her head, a faint crease forming on her brow. "Carrots for war boars, Master? Are you certain?"

Lucian froze, suddenly unsure. Feeding war boars carrots didn't sound right, but he wasn't sure what else to use. "Well… they're pigs, right? Pigs eat pretty much anything, don't they?"

His uncertainty earned him a skeptical look from Lin Daiyu. She hesitated, then nodded gracefully. "If that is your decision, Master, I shall comply."

The Blessed Farmland interface displayed a limit of 100 seeds per planting cycle, and the field was divided into neat rows for maximum efficiency.

Lucian handed Lin Daiyu a wooden stick to help plant the seeds. Together, they worked to sow the carrot seeds into the fertile soil.

Despite her elegant demeanor, Lin Daiyu didn't shy away from manual labor. Her slender fingers moved deftly, and her delicate frame bent gracefully over the rows.

Lucian found his gaze lingering on her for a moment too long. He quickly looked away, feeling a faint warmth creep up his neck.

"Focus, Lucian," he muttered under his breath, forcing himself to concentrate on the task.

After sowing the seeds, Lucian pulled out a bottle of mineral water from his inventory, ready to irrigate the crops.

But then he paused.

His eyes drifted toward the [Moonwell], its crystal-clear waters shimmering faintly under an unseen light.

"If the Moonwell's liquid is so powerful, I wonder if it'll have any effect on the Blessed Farmland?"

Driven by curiosity, Lucian set the bottled water aside and fetched a basin. He filled it with Lunar Nectar from the well, noting the well's inventory count:

Moonwell Stock: 10/10 (1 unit = 1 ton of water).

Since the well replenished itself nightly and could be refilled with Void Crystals, Lucian decided the experiment was worth it.

Returning to the Blessed Farmland, he handed the basin to Lin Daiyu.

"Master," she said softly, her eyes twinkling with amusement, "are you certain it's wise to use such a valuable resource for simple irrigation?"

Lucian nodded firmly. "Water is the foundation of life. Besides, if it enhances the Spirit Field's potential, it'll be worth it."

Lin Daiyu smiled, her delicate features glowing with approval. "As you wish."

As they watered the field with Lunar Nectar, a magical phenomenon unfolded.

The soil glowed brighter, and a gentle mist began to rise from the ground. The entire field was soon enveloped in a soft, ethereal haze, as if it were a sacred land blessed by divine forces.

Lucian stared in awe. "It's like a fairyland…"

Lin Daiyu's gaze was equally captivated. Her voice was barely above a whisper as she murmured, "Such a wondrous sight… If only Zijuan were here to witness this."

She trailed off, her tone laced with melancholy.

Lucian glanced at her, sensing the sudden shift in her mood. "Daiyu, are you okay?"

She blinked, forcing a smile as she shook her head. "It's nothing, Master. I was simply… reminiscing."

Lucian hesitated but decided not to press further.

As the mist cleared, Ling Tian's interface displayed a noticeable change:

[Blessed Farmland: Status Updated!]

Growth Rate Enhanced by Lunar Nectar: +200%

Estimated Time to Harvest: 12 hours

Lucian's grin widened. "Twelve hours? That's incredible!"

Lin Daiyu's serene expression softened as she observed her Sovereign's excitement. "You truly have a gift for nurturing life, Master."

Lucian chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's not me. It's the Void… and maybe a little bit of luck."

He glanced at the glowing Spirit Field, then at the radiant Moonwell, feeling a deep sense of accomplishment.

"We're off to a great start," he said. "Let's keep building from here."

Lin Daiyu stepped closer, her presence steadying him. "With your vision, Master, I have no doubt this territory will flourish."
