"What is it? Are you giving up?" the bald-headed man asked, his tone carrying a slight sneer.
Max shook his head and pointed toward the arena. "Will I get the cores of the monsters I kill?" he asked innocently.
"Huh?" The bald-headed man was taken aback by Max's question and turned to Ryan beside him.
Ryan smiled. "The monsters outside the dungeon don't drop anything, so we'd have to manually retrieve the cores. It'll take time, but we can do it. However, you're not qualified to claim the cores from the monsters you kill."
Max raised an eyebrow, smirking. "And how does one become qualified?"
Ryan thought for a moment. "Only those who break the record for the highest number of kills are offered the cores. Otherwise, no one qualifies."
A bright smile spread across Max's face. He had expected the qualification to be something arduous or complex, but it turned out to be surprisingly simple.
