If it were compromised, the consequences would be unimaginable.
"Presiding Judge Lenora Quinn," the officer went on, "the blood agent has always been overseen by Councilor Laurence Mann. Without solid evidence, we can't allow you to check it. Moreover, there's never been any reported accident among soldiers who use blood potions, so it might be best if Councilor Mann faced you in person."
He clearly hoped she would see reason. But instead, Lenora walked straight past him, heading directly toward the depot's main storage area.
"If you won't help, get out of my way. Don't waste my time," she snapped, her tone icy.
